Even though Unified Communications has become a staple for organizations world over, businesses often don’t realize its full potential because it remains isolated from other key business systems. Indialantic, Florida, based FracTEL takes UC a step further with a concept it calls ‘Integrated Communications’, wherein it consolidates and seamlessly integrates all the features of a Unified Communications system into its client's information ecosystem. “Our omni-channel communications system enables you to gather data on customers more effectively and transfer that information to and from your other business systems. This facilitates more effective customer engagement, and that is always a high priority for businesses,” says Michael A. Crown, President and CEO of FracTEL. Each of the company's platforms is based on its unique architecture, a patented triple redundant system, which allows for a 100 percent uptime guarantee on its network (something no other provider currently offers).
FracTEL’s first offering is a SIP Trunking service, which is ideal for organizations with multiple locations, a distributed workforce, and call centers. With the cloud as a platform to integrate business systems, FracTEL enables its clients to connect their communication system with their other IT infrastructure. The SIP Trunking service offers SMS, MMS, T38 faxing, and cloud managed calling services in one integrated package.

The second product, Cloud PBX, is a result of rigorous development and took FracTEL over ten years to get right. The firm has invested significant resources in a bid to make Cloud PBX deployment and on-going support as easy and stress-free as possible. The service combines advanced business features with telecommunication services to provide a single, easy to deploy managed solution. Leveraging the triple redundancy architecture, Cloud PBX can fully distribute and load balance its services, which allows it to provide highly secure, scalable, and reliable services. It comes with “Fortune 500 business features” such as call queues, smartphone integration, and call monitoring, right out of the box.
FracTEL's final offering is the FracTELfone, which provides a Cloud PBX phone client for iOS, Android, MacOS, and Windows, as well as any web browser that supportsWebRTC communication protocols. Being equipped with all the features available with its hardware siblings, FracTELfone, from a mobility, extensibility, and flexibility standpoint is a highly capable end-point platform.
Although the solutions fit any industry vertical, they appeal the most to those for whom security and reliability are the prime requirements (such as healthcare and financial services).
As part of the on-boarding process, FracTEL's technical team follows a very structured methodology that affords the company a better understanding of the customer’s business requirements and infrastructure. The team spends a lot of time up-front understanding all these factors, before delivering devices that are 100 percent plug-and-play. “We are a disciplined team, so the pieces that we built turned out to be very useful, functional, and often, somewhat unique. That has given us a potent platform to provide our services on,” says Crown.
Currently catering to American and Canadian market, Crown says that FracTEL will remain in the North America for the foreseeable future. “We will be rolling out a new product called ‘Fonestorm’ later in 2017, which we believe will significantly disrupt the telecom Platform-as-a-Service world,” ends Crown.
