It was in 2011 when a Montreal based entrepreneur attended a meeting in Florida. In the session, he met an owner of a security firm who was depressed as he was unable to manage his employees on the field actively. Some employees were not punctual while others were unable to submit work report on time. The meeting inspired the businessman, Simon Ferragne, who was an Android application developer in Silicon Valley to help the firm. His determination to aid the security company gave birth to TrackTik in 2013. Ferragne, now the CEO of TrackTik devoted his expertise to streamline the field operations for employees working in security firms.

Headquartered in Montreal, TrackTik is a security workforce management platform that delivers real-time data through integrated field operations and back office solutions. The company offers a mobile and web-based software that connects field professionals to their clients and stakeholders. The platform encompasses a broad spectrum of applications such as guard management tools, automated financial management solutions, and business intelligence modules simplifying the field service management for the security sector.

TrackTik’s software can run on computers or mobile devices like iOS and Android and is well suited for NFC (Near-field communication) technology, QR codes, and barcodes.
