In the Retail, Distribution and Logistics domain, Tangentia has a wide range of software consulting services as well as cloud SaaS solutions. The cloud SaaS solutions from Tangentia are Tangentia Gateway for cloud EDI and Order Management, Tangentia Commerce for SaaS Enterprise eCommerce and Tangentia Secure for cloud IAM and SIEM solutions.
Tangentia has been partnering with NetSuite for the last 5 years on multiple fronts:
1) Tangentia has implemented numerous integrations from NetSuite to Tangentia Gateway for EDI and eCommerce integrations.
2) Tangentia has implemented connectors from Netsuite ERP and NetSuite Commerce to Logistics Carriers such as UPS, Fedex, Canada Post and Purolator.
3) The Tangentia Digital group has also implemented eCommerce solutions like IBM WebSphere Commerce, Magento and Shopify for NetSuite ERP customers.
We had a conversation with Vijay Thomas, the Founder and CEO of Tangentia, to understand the unique value that the company offers in the NetSuite space.
What is the value-add that you bring into the NetSuite solutions portfolio?
NetSuite integrates with multiple EDI solutions, and we would like to believe that Tangentia Gateway is the best Netsuite integrated EDI solution out there. Tangentia Gateway integrates directly with NetSuite’s ERP and provides its customers the ability to connect with 2000+ customers in the Retail, Automotive, Logistics and Industrial sectors such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, General Motors, Tesla, Fedex, ASDA and many others. Through our support centers in Canada, USA and India, we can provide 24/7 support to the clients.
In relation to eCommerce, we have worked with NetSuite ERP customers to implement IBM WebSphere Commerce, Magento and Shopify, and integrate seamlessly with their ERP system.
Fast Delivery is our key differentiator. It allows us to get feedback quicker, which helps us ensure that customers get exactly what they want
What are pain-points that the clients face in the NetSuite space?
Traditionally, EDI has been a complex, time-consuming and resource-intensive process. Further, a lack of resources and change in the management makes it more cumbersome. On top of this, some EDI providers offering barebones rates have not really been very reliable. The larger EDI providers have continued to make their solutions more complex and expensive. That is where Tangentia steps in. We make the entire EDI process seamless and more utility-based while at the same time providing our customers with a boutique bespoke solution. With our globally dispersed EDI team, our customers can sleep well at night that their EDI and Order Management is being watched by ahighly competent team and they will be paying a reasonable amount for it.
What is the implementation process that you follow?
We follow a unique Agile implementation methodology, WAgile—a combination of Waterfall and Agile—for companies that don’t have an Agile outlook. Tangentia’s overall methodology is a mix of both the approaches. We ensure that we understand clients’ organizational structure first. We then take an informed decision to adopt either Waterfall or Agile methodology accordingly. The next step in our approach is all about figuring out practices from the Waterfall and Agile methodologies which will best fit our clients.
Fast Delivery in a project is one of the prime differentiators for us. We can implement a project in a very short time period, and that holds the key as this enables us to get feedback quicker and make the needed changes. We bring a scalable, secure and enterprise-grade solution at a value price that is amenable to mid-sized businesses. Our value proposition also resonates with the large enterprises too. We have 11 Fortune 500 customers and the list keeps growing.
Can you provide me with a recent success story that you were involved in?
One of our clients, a large air compressor producer, was already our client for EDI and was looking to adopt NetSuite ERP. The client wanted to ensure that their EDI provider was aligned with NetSuite. Through their evaluation process, they chose us on the basis of superior service-level and cost-effectiveness that we could provide for NetSuite ERP. Today, the client has been enabled with a seamless shipping process, and has played a substantial part in doubling their business over the last two years.
What does the future hold for Tangentia?
Currently, Tangentia EDI and eCommerce groups work primarily with NetSuite. The company has an automation group which includes archive, AI, Blockchain and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and has partnered with companies such as UiPath and Blue Prism globally. With the growing RPA opportunities to implement for NetSuite clients, we will be looking at implementing the solutions where RPA is involved in the next 12-18 months. We will explore the possibility of including other service areas such as RPA in the NetSuite solution. We are well-positioned to ride the upcoming wave and help the NetSuite customers leverage integrated solutions based on novel and evolving technologies.
