The company enables organizations to increase productivity and enhance security by allowing rapid deployment and integration of scalable, real-time visibility solutions through its key product—Visi-Trac. This optimizes enterprise asset management, data centers and mobile IT asset tracking, and work-in-processes. Additionally, the real-time visibility platform enables highly accurate insights of inventory and assets, driving operational efficiency. The product is specially designed to capture wide range of signal inputs from an array of technologies like Ultra Wide Band, barcode and sensors and can be seamlessly deployed on a variety of form factors including handheld readers and mobile computing devices enabling wide range of management capabilities. “Visi-Trac monitors, secures and tracks assets ranging from files and tools to laptops, servers and lab equipments,” says Diana Hage, CEO, RFID Global Solutions. Visi-Trac WIP, for bigger landscapes like aerospace, automotive and defense, tracks almost the entire lifecycle from sub assemblies to production floor and to the final assembly location.
The RFID’s All Visi-Trac offers an intuitive, easy to understand web-based interface, making multi tasking simpler and also providing zonal monitoring and integration with EAM enabling visibility all along the infrastructure—indoors, outdoors, and in the yards. Employing a distributed, web-services based architecture; the solution allows accessibility using personal mobile devices empowering organizations to implement last minute changes virtually from anywhere.

Visi-Trac’s flexible dashboards deliver key decision making information through real-time alert notifications in case an asset crosses a particular boundary. The information is sent via emails; SMS and general purpose input-output devices. Meanwhile, the Web-based user reports provide real-time reporting on asset location, movement and history for optimizing customer operations.
RFID’s numerous customer success stories is testimony of its footprint in the EAM landscape. Cisco Systems, a leader in networking, communications and collaboration technologies manufactures more than two million fixed assets which are procured, deployed and moved between locations every day. The management had to optimize and safeguard the company’s investment in fixed IT assets, by automating equipment receiving, inventory management and audits, and asset sharing between departments. To resolve the issue and eradicate the complexity, RFID integrated Visi- Trac software with IBM’s Tivoli asset management for handling Cisco’s accounting systems. This project enabled the client to execute more accurate audits and offered better asset utilization resulting in significant cost savings. RFID also optimized monitoring and real-time insights through improved cycle counts.
In the journey so far, RFID has been successful in leveraging its expertise in EAM environment. Moving forward the firm is planning to focus more on luggage tracking technology in airlines and airports through implementing radio frequency identification (RFID) chips on tags. “This would drastically reduce the complexity and time spent on luggage handling in the coming days,” says Diana.
