With the U.S. military as one of its largest clients, RGi’s solutions are focused on improving the scalability of military infrastructure and making access to geospatial data more reliable. RGi carefully analyzes a customer’s mission, workflows and areas of expertise, and then tailors customized technology solutions to solve problems. This consultative methodology helps RGi to extend the features of its solutions in a way that effectively addresses the needs and challenges of our soldiers and analysts.
We place a lot of focus on creating innovative geospatial solutions for our soldiers and analysts, and are determined to have a strong and immediate impact on national security
One of RGi’s foundational beliefs is that agility in innovation is the key to facing tomorrow’s challenges, which is why the company strategically invests in new research and development (R&D) efforts. A current area of interest involves understanding the principles of mapping cyber space, including developing a Cyber Situational Awareness and Understanding for the tactical commander. RGi is exploring mechanisms allowing the commander to visualize the three layers of cyberspace and how machine learning can be used to model the impacts of their actions or to identify threats in real-time.Through another R&D effort, RGi is working to develop prescriptive analytics to optimize data collection strategies in support of Activity Based Intelligence (ABI). There are often too few resources to collect all of the information relevant to the decision at hand. RGi is building tools that analysts can use to focus their collection strategies to the pieces of information that will have the biggest impact.
Like all successful companies, RGi holds a strong vision for growth and expansion. “We are a rapidly growing firm, and we double in size once every 12 to 18 months,” adds Gillotte. By leveraging its decades of specific intelligence and defense experience, RGi will continue to address new geospatial requirements while working through operational obstacles. Looking ahead, the geospatial firm aims to have a multi-domain platform that brings the cyber and the physical domains together, delivering an immediate impact for soldiers and analysts through an empowered team of critical thinkers who thrive on innovation.
