HireIQ is a 10-year old company that is 100% focused on delivering a platform for high volume hiring
We are a SaaS solution with customers around the world. Like most organizations, we’ve recently become virtual with everyone in the company working from home.
Who are your customers?
Our customers are companies with large populations of employees, such as call center agents, that hire 1,000s of the same role every year! Our customers include Fortune 500 customers and also the largest Business Process Outsourcers (BPOs) in the world. BPOs outsource the management and operations of call centersso they truly understand the value of making a hire that can meet objectives and stay longer in the role. We consider being able to identify candidates that can achieve quantifiable objectives and stay on the job our most important deliverable as a company.
What makes HireIQ special in interviewing and hiring in the high-volume world?
We are obsessed with efficiency and effectiveness in hiring. That means delivering a succinct candidate interview experience, that ensures completion by millions of candidates each year, and a speed and clarity in autoscored interview results – So employers make their best hires quickly and with confidence. The conversion of applicant to completed interview is essential to be effective in our world.
A candidate’s total investment may be less than 20 minutes but a recruiter, using HireIQ, will average less than 4 minutes reviewing before prioritizing candidates for advancement. HireIQ’s use of our machine-learning enabled voice assessment that measures a candidate’s engagement, active-ness, alertness, energy and emotion in voice responses provides hiring organizations a new understanding of candidates that highlight those most likely to succeed in the position. It’s important to remember how important tone, clarity and engagement are when making front-line, customer-facing hires.
How does HireIQ assess a candidate’s abilities?
If our customers are going to succeed, lots of candidates have to provide the information necessary, to prove they have the hard skills to do the job, without taxing themselves, and the soft skills necessary to succeed and stay in the job. So HireIQ tests for skills like data entry, language proficiency, critical thinking and even multi-threaded chat abilities. But our secret sauce is our ability to determine engagement, emotion, energy, active-ness and passivity – we even identify boredom and sadness in candidates through their audio responses. Processing this information and making it available to hiring teams is what we do. We understand that the presence of hard skills and emotion-based soft skills provides a more complete picture that will predict success for our customers and their new hires.

We were ready. We are ready to help. This is our business
And it’s an approach that we have validated with a multitude of customers and millions of candidate interviews over the last decade.
How has the COVID-19 changed your business?
We spent a lot of time before COVID-19, convincing organizations that it was more efficient to have candidates complete virtual interviews, at their convenience, and demonstrate that they have the necessary skills before committing time to them.
And with a lot of organizations, who were used to hiring through in-person meetings and face-to-face interviews, it was a hard sell. Suddenly, in-person interviews introduced a new health risk and knowing that a candidate could manage an on-line process, like a virtual interview, on their own, shed new light on the value a virtual interviewing process like ours.
How has COVID-19 affected your customers?
The US went from what was essentially full employment, where talent teams worried that there weren’t enough applicants, to at its height, 55 million Americans looking for Work-At-Home positions. It’s been an amazing shift in our business.
The value of virtual interviewing increased exponentially in a week. Candidates need the HireIQ service to share their experiences, skills and abilities for new roles - from home. Hiring teams need HireIQto give them insight into this new avalanche of available candidates - one that helps them prioritize those most likely to succeed. And all of it has to take place from home regardless of whether you are the candidate or the recruiter.
HireIQ’s journey, as a company, prepared us for these new COVID-driven realities. Our commitment to solving for this problem for our customers, puts us in a unique place to share our success as a virtual interview and assessment. We’d love to help anyone struggling at this time.
