Give us an overview of Pernix Solutions and what sets it apart in the software development landscape.

Pernix Solutions was established in 2009 with a prime focus of providing efficient software to startups and small companies. However, in our quest to offer these solutions, we realized that the software development market has a dearth of skilled software developers. To address this issue, we came up with a unique apprenticeship program through which we identify the brightest students from universities or schools with a computer science background, offer them a scholarship, and train them to become proficient software developers. During the course of our training, we let the apprentices work on real projects and build software in an agile environment under the guidance of Pernix’s senior professionals. Contrary to other companies that focus only on developing quality software, we are inclined toward bringing about a change in the software development landscape by transforming inexperienced students into skilled professionals.

What according to you are some of the major pain points perturbing the current software development landscape and how is Pernix Solutions addressing them?

The reasons can range from a development team’s hindrances in effective planning, shortage of resources, and more. Pernix Solutions tackles all of these challenges and helps organizations accelerate the speed to market their solutions using agile methodologies. For each of our clients, we assign a team of talented and experienced developers that carry out exploratory discussions to clearly understand the demands. Subsequently, our dedicated team chalks out a concise plan and then works with the company to deliver the required software.

Could you provide us with a detailed description of the core engineering and development services offered by Pernix Solutions?

Pernix Solutions offers a range of services that includes web and mobile application development, UI and UX design and implementation, and software prototyping. We use application frameworks, such as REACT, Rails, or Angular, and programming languages like .NET and Java to create quality web and mobile applications. In addition, through our UI/UX services, we provide intuitive user designs and experience. Furthermore, with our efficient prototyping services, we help clients build a minimum viable product (MVP) that can help a company validate their new software ideas. Our designed MVPs are initially released to beta testers and potential users to receive their feedback. Later, on the basis of the user responses, the next version of the product is developed, and the cycle repeats until a production-ready version of the app is created. Using this approach, we have developed more than 200-300 prototypes for several customers. Alongside, we also provide International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB)-certified quality assurance and testing services at an affordable cost for business incubators and entrepreneurs.

To bring out the story, please share a case study where Pernix Solutions helped its client overcome software development challenges and attain desired outcomes?

In the last ten years, we have had numerous successful customer stories, where we helped small firms and startups create the first version of their MVP and then gradually develop that into a marketable product. A case in point is a start-up based in Chicago that approached us with an idea to create a new solution for the global wireless security system market. We developed the initial version of the product and helped the client launch it in a suitable market. Later, we also created a mobile and an interactive web application for the startup that was sold in a multi-million deal.

What does the future hold for Pernix Solutions?

Since our inception, we have developed a niche for ourselves in the software development landscape. From an initial team of seven, today, we have evolved into a group of 80 engineers. We are a team of software developers that persistently focuses on adding value to our services and creating long-term relationships with our clients. To achieve that, we are continually recruiting new apprentices and training them to become skilled professionals that design and build exceptional software.
