COVID-19 RESPONSE
In mid-March, Park Bench ran an immediate relief program offering all Cisco BroadWorks operators the creation and rapid deployment of a complimentary Customer Self-Service Portal (CSSP). This program allowed participating Service Providers an instant way to offset the enormous surge of Customer Support requests that were overwhelming support teams around the world as Shelterin- Place and Work-from-Home mandates were issued and enforced. Under normal circumstances, the deployment of a simple, modern and intuitive CSSP provides Park Bench clients an average of a 3X-4X reduction in support contacts. During the early days of the pandemic, many reported savings of over 10X reduction. This one simple solution puts the power in the hands of the end-users to conduct their own changes from any device, OS or location. Park Bench puts the most common support request items into a completely brandable portal for things like password changes, password resets, call forwarding, and more. These CSSP portals come standard with their flagship product, called odin, and made possible by the consumption of their powerful odin API that earned them the honor of being selected as Top API Solution Provider for all three years that this award has been presented since its inception in 2018.
NEW ODIN V PLATFORM: “Ready...AIM...Automate!”
In July, Park Bench released odin V that adds dozens of new features to the base odin Platform and Analytics products, packages their award-winning odin API, webhooks that listen for events and stream data in realtime to any third-party applications in the BroadWorks ecosystem, and their entire odin Web code base into their odin Automation Suite, and a brand-new odin AIM (audit.import.migrate) product that adds fully audited configuration backups, the ability to restore back to a point in time, and the ability to automate the migration of users and groups between BroadWorks and BroadCloud PaaS instances and versions.
The trifecta win for our clients is the combination of three key components of our portfolio that completely change the game
ACCELERATING & OPTIMIZING M&A in TELECOM
In January, Park Bench named their early investor and long-time Advisory Board member, James L. Lee, as their Managing Partner to help Park Bench launch their global sales and marketing efforts, build a robust network of API-integrated partners and to transform Park Bench from an elite team of BroadWorks SMEs and Application Development experts to a full consultancy to assist thought leaders in the UCaaS space to accelerate innovation, optimize profits (through powerful API integrations and quote-tocash workflow automations) and to enable “turnkey” M&A solutions for roll-ups and acquisition of other BroadWorks operators with ease. Lee states, “The trifecta win for our clients is the combination of three key components of our portfolio that completely change the game. We now radically reduce the risk and costs associated with the rollup or acquisition of like operators. When combining the unique multi-tenant capabilities of the odin Platform with the odin Automation Suite and the new automated migration capabilities of odin AIM, the odin Platform provides a strategic abstraction layer where all process and procedures, app development, third-party integrations, quote-to-cash workflows, training and documentation can be standardized universally throughout the global network.”
The impact for the acquirer and the acquired is impressive. For instance, a newly acquired Broadworks instance can be pointed to the established odin Platform to achieve near-instant assimilation into the existing framework and ecosystem. Lee adds, “The vast majority of the complicated upgrades and migrations needed between versions, plus their testing and cutover from the old to new framework, can now be automated and achieved at our client’s convenience instead of based upon an urgent financially-driven timeline. Our clients can now think of these efforts more as a convenience or consolidation play. It is no longer in the critical path, and that can translate into millions between cost and time savings at scale, and months of accretive and accelerated revenues within the new entity.”
This year is a trifecta win for Park Bench Solutions with our CIO Applications Top API Solution Provider award, and for current and future Park Bench clients alike.
