Could you elaborate on the background of your company, Oproma?
Oproma is a family-oriented business and has been in existence for 18 years. About 10 years ago, our current Chairman, Marc Pageau joined the company and implemented a vision to modernize information intelligence through discovery, cataloguing, insights, and action. Oproma has a background in search, data discovery, and secure file sharing. We target the fundamentals of data, content, and information at the enterprise level. Unstructured and semi-structured data represents the next great challenge for us, as we are dealing with big data and digital landfills that create content and information at an unprecedented rate. Since Oproma’s inception, our data scientists have been exploring and analyzing unstructured data, allowing us to assist customers in making better decisions.
At Oproma, we focus on unstructured and semi-structured elements of data. How to discover, catalog, and turn this unstructured data into valuable and profitable assets for organizations often remains a challenging task. To simplify and automate this challenge, we create Business Oriented Transformation Services (BOTS), which allow us to target, transform, and turn the unstructured data into valuable assets.
Could you elaborate on the services you offer to your clients?
It does not matter whether it is an Adobe solution, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce implementation with SAP or any other offering; our tools allow us to deploy software services (BOTS) focused on automating the movement and use of data.
What we have found is that there are very few off the shelf technologies in the world today that meet the demands of pothole repair in our digital highways. Not many companies in the software industry offer a break/ fix toolkit to bridge the gaps in data service delivery.
Oproma provides a standardized toolkit and blueprint to deal with the data gaps in existing eco-systems. Our mobilized information intelligence software, the M.i² Core platform, allows organizations to truly understand their data and perform actions on their information.
We discover content, data, and information more efficiently and faster than anyone else. Our software can search, survey, and explore hidden and unstructured data. The information within an organization is placed in an advanced catalog, and then made more valuable using our mobilized information intelligence—the M.i² Core platform. Using the catalog, we apply analytics and rules to make informed decisions.
We target the fundamentals of unknown data, content, and information at the enterprise level
The value we provide is helping customers and partners address the potholes created in their digital highways. Our software is a toolkit that can help you discover, catalog, organize, and action faster than any other option in the market today. Think of us as your digital handyman.
In what ways does Oproma’s partnership with Adobe enable it to cater to its clients?
Having held various positions at Adobe and acquiring vast experience across the entire Adobe platform and landscape, we not only have the knowledge of Adobe’s technology offerings, but also understand the challenges it faces around accelerating customers’ use of the platforms.
We are building a core part of our BOT inventory to address the issues that Adobe faces with its customers. There is no single toolkit that aligns with the Adobe delivery capabilities and provides the ability to create automated processes for Adobe—until now. We bridge the gaps in the Adobe platform; this is the value we provide to Adobe, its customers, and partners.
Our toolkit allows Adobe and their customers the ability to accelerate the movement of data, content, and information. As an example, our AEM BOTS excel at automating data migrations. Our software migrate customers onto the Adobe platforms faster than anyone else in the world.
Could you share a success story where your company helped a business in streamlining their operations by data discovery?
We are involved in many projects based on AEM migrations. One of our current efforts is for a major public sector organization that is required to carry out standardization and consolidation of dozens of websites. The project needed a platform to perform discovery and inventory of hundreds of thousands of PDFs, office files, web pages, and other digital assets. We transformed and re-structured all the content into the AEM platform with 100 percent accuracy and have been very successful in reducing the costs and timelines associated with this large-scale web content migration.
What is the roadmap for Oproma?
We are developing a comprehensive suite of BOTS for several platforms, however much of our focus is on Adobe and the challenges associated with deploying AEM. We are looking forward to expanding our capabilities to include other elements of business-oriented transformation services for industries where data security, data privacy, or movement of data across any consumer service delivery model is crucial.
I believe that automated information intelligence is key to the success of global AI investments, and that the concept of an Information Service Bus (ISB) is the next great enabler of this landscape from the digital delivery perspective. Organizations need to deal with back-end data, for which ISB is imperative, and we are aiming to focus on it from a digital transformation point of view.
