Whiplash Establishes Its Second Fulfillment Center in Columbus, Ohio

The rise of e-commerce fuels a surge in service demand is necessary.
FREMONT, CA: Whiplash, a significant supplier of omnichannel logistics services based in the City of Industry, Calif., announced the launch of a new, modern 261,400 square-foot facility in Columbus, Ohio.
"The retail landscape is always changing - and 2020 has accelerated many of the trends we were already seeing in this space, particularly the growing domination of ecommerce," said Greg Morello, President, and Chief Commercial Officer at Whiplash. "We always aim to be ahead of the curve by putting ourselves closer to both retail stores and end consumers."
It's the installation of a second facility, located in the heart of Columbus' industrial zone, to support the region's rapid rise of fulfillment capabilities, comprising value-added solutions like kitting, specialist packaging, and returns processing.These multi-client operations will offer another powerful strategic gateway to the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest, with competitive two-day ground coverage to major urban areas, enabling even more smooth, end-to-end fulfillment.
This first expansion of 2021 follows many recent additions to Whiplash's national network, featuring brand-new omnichannel distribution locations in Seattle and Savannah.This exciting new chapter of Whiplash's growth is ready to answer rising needs for wraparound 3PL services and advanced omnichannel fulfillment. All locations are strategically positioned near major transportation hubs and gateways for decreased transit times and cheaper shipping costs. Whiplash will be well-positioned to deal with the challenges and opportunities of a new retail era due to this.
