Ways Workstream Collaboration can Transform the Future of Work

Previously, organizations pursuing a Unified Communications (UC) environment struggled to integrate disparate products, resulting in different user interfaces, multiple logins, and little to no information flow between the various tools.
Fremont, CA: Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, trends such as work-from-home, the gig economy, and a more distributed workforce were reshaping how and where we worked. All of these trends were accelerated by the pandemic. Enterprises all over the world were forced to allow their entire workforces for remote work and accelerate their cloud journeys in order to support, enable, and secure their new distributed workforces almost immediately.
Many forward-thinking organizations have discovered that new secure workstream collaboration (WSC) solutions can be deployed into their existing multi-vendor, multi-cloud, multi-modal environments to bring together better tools employees need to improve engagement and collaboration regardless of location.
What is workstream collaboration?
Previously, organizations pursuing a Unified Communications (UC) environment struggled to integrate disparate products, resulting in different user interfaces, multiple logins, and little to no information flow between the various tools. This resulted in user annoyance, lower-than-ideal productivity, and an increased reliance on shadow IT – both inside and outside the office.
Today's secure and compliant workstream collaboration solutions, such as Avaya Spaces, integrate multiple capabilities, such as voice, messaging, video, chat, and task management, allowing the context of conversations to persist across public or private channels and over time, even when switching from one device to another. Teams can easily and quickly create secure meeting spaces for information sharing and collaboration, which can be restricted to only named and authenticated participants. Individuals or teams using WSC can interact more transparently with their internal and external constituents by connecting through the channels that the constituents prefer, and automated, real-time actionable alerts and notifications across devices make sure that teams meet their deadlines.
Workstream collaboration tools such as Avaya Spaces are also built on Avaya OneCloud CPaaS (communications platform as a service) to create a comprehensive and unified communications environment to automate and increase productivity. Furthermore, WSC solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance video meetings and conferences by removing background noise and creating live transcriptions that recognize and differentiate voices – allowing businesses to create and maintain an accurate record of every important conversation.
