FREMONT, CA: Velocity, a managed services company, has declared that Anthony Nguyen has been named chief information officer/chief information security officer. In this role, Nguyen will spearhead the global efforts on cybersecurity by obtaining industry certifications such as HITRUST that will allow for Velocity's expansion into other markets.

Nguyen joined Velocity with more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in areas of security, information technology, and operations. His experience comes from working at various multi-billion-dollar global companies specializing in big data, manufacturing, retail, distribution and logistics, marketing, and e-commerce. Before joining Velocity, Anthony was appointed as senior director of global infrastructure engineering and operations at Ashley Furniture. Before joining Ashley Furniture, Anthony was appointed as executive director of infrastructure engineering – global shared services at Catalina Marketing.
