Unified Brands Announces New Product to Help Pizza Restaurants Reduce Cheese Waste

The Cheeser Station has a refrigerated holding bin that can contain up to 25 pounds of cheese and a stainless-steel grate to hold the pizza while it is being prepared. Cheese that does not end up on the pizza is relegated to the holding bin rather than being discarded on the floor or prep table.
FREMONT, CA: Unified Brands, part of Dover (NYSE: DOV) and a leading manufacturer of foodservice equipment, has announced the Randell Cheeser Station designed to help pizza restaurants minimize cheese waste and create a more consistent product.
"It may not feel like much when it's only a few shreds of cheese per pizza, but that waste adds up over time and can hurt profits," stated Dave Rademacher, Randell Product Manager. "With the Cheeser Station, pizza operations can rest assured knowing they are minimizing cheese waste, one of pizza's most expensive ingredients."
The new product also has a scale option that allows pizza makers to quantify the amount of cheese they want on each pizza, allowing them to produce a uniform product. Operators may see a return in as little as six months if they combine minimizing cheese waste with regulating cheese used at the optimal level.
"Creating a simple, effective prep process for employees and ensuring a consistent product for customers makes all the difference, particularly for pizza restaurants with multiple locations," stated Brent Barkley, Unified Brands Senior Director of Strategic Brand Management (Randell &Avtec). "The Cheeser Station does just that."
The Cheeser Station measures 24 inches wide, 33 inches deep, and 35 inches tall, and it is powered by an energy-efficient R290 compressor system with visible external electronic controls for rapid verification of proper settings. To retain the product at a safe temperature, the holding bin employs cold-wall conductive cooling. A completely sealed interior with a clean-out port does cleaning and sanitizing the pan opening simply.
