The Future of Mobile Devices with Virtual Assistance Technology

IT industry should prepare the enterprise for a new generation of end users due to the emergence of the advanced virtual assistant technology. As mobile devices include this technology, mobile apps have become more complex. It creates difficultness for end users to navigate through various screens and user interfaces. All the data is accessible from users’ email, social media and app data from actual memory and cloud-based sources. Thus, it has also become more complicated for users to locate and access the data they need when they need it.
In the upcoming years, virtual assistant technology through AI processing will work with search engines in the cloud and also with users’ local data. The data processing on the device will mean much lower latency because data doesn’t have to be transmitted through the network. On-device processing will improve privacy and cloud services cannot block information because the data will not be transmitted from the device.
Within a few years, full voice command-enabled operating systems will power mobile devices. As a concierge service, AI will recognize what kind of data is most important to users when they need it. The OS will allow users to use natural language commands and control devices rather than just exploring the network for information. AI will also help users to navigate through apps.
The virtual assistant technology will learn users’ needs via machine learning and then interact on their behalf with the app on which they need to perform a specific task. The users need not even identify which apps they are accessing, and this will reduce the need to launch apps.
The technology will improve users’ interactions with their mobile devices by presenting information in a simpler way effortlessly. Chips from Qualcomm, Huawei, and Apple, already include AI capabilities in high-end mobile devices. Gesture and video recognition, or the capability to understand users’ requirements by reading faces, is beginning to emerge in a few devices, including those from Apple and Samsung. Google and Apple have plans to enhance future OS releases with these capabilities tempered in.
Organizations should stay updated with emerging technologies and be prepared to implement the right technologies. Also, Organizations should investigate how users’ needs vary once virtual assistant technology progresses. IT teams should discover how to get enterprise apps equipped for the change. They also have to modernize their app interfaces to enable more advanced interaction techniques.
