In today’s highly disruptive market place, service providers are concentrating on how they can accelerate product and service innovation to sell without friction in the customer’s channel of choice, and deliver services as promised. For such a novelty, Sigma Systems—the pioneer in catalog-driven software— is signing of a definitive agreement with Hansen Technologies for its acquisition by the latter. Hansen Technologies provides billing, data management, and customer care solutions for the Energy, Water, Pay-TV, and Telecommunications industries. The acquisition is expected to close on 31 May 2019, and Hansen will acquire full ownership of Sigma Systems.
The acquisition will result in combined product offerings of both the companies and hopes to strengthen their value proposition across the Telecom, Media, IoT, Energy and Utility industries they serve. Combined into a stronger organization with more exceptional expertise and a bunch of incredibly talented delivery specialists, the companies expect to expand R&D scale and diversification of business across various industry verticals. A Cross-sell opportunity brought into Hansen’s large utility customer base by integrating the Catalog product into their energy product offerings is a strong strategic rationale behind the acquisition.
