Sabre Forms a Strategic Partnership with TUI Hotels to Improve the Digital Travel Experience
By improving the visitor experience, the partnership hopes to encourage innovation, digital transformation, and revenue growth.
Fremont, CA: It's not hard to agree on one thing: the COVID-19 sanitary issue had a massive and unanticipated impact on everyone's lives.
The hotel, travel, and tourist industries have been heavily damaged, but the societal impact cannot be overlooked. Consumer behavior, and ultimately consumer spending, has continued to change, and company planning must adapt to these new realities.
"In a changing hospitality marketplace, our objective is to create a winning engagement model that strengthens our core offering – unique holiday experiences," said Martin Schreck, Chief Information Officer Sourcing & Assets at TUI Group and Managing Director TUI InfoTec GmbH. "To do this, we are enhancing our technology while focusing on futureproofing our business. Sabre's technology will help enable us to fully automate our guest operations – including booking, setting up, and amending guest offers – enabling our staff to focus on providing unique, personalized stays. Sabre's response to the shifting landscape of hospitality, along with its robust, stable, and agile platform, will help us secure our recovery and build on our guest experience."
Sabre Corporation, the pioneering software and technology provider that powers the global travel industry, made a long-term partnership with TUI Group, a globally integrated tourism group, in which Sabre Hospitality Solutions will serve as a distribution provider and business partner for the group's hotel brands around the world, including TUI Blue, Robinson, and TUI Magic Life.
Around 70 TUI portfolio hotels will employ Sabre's platform solution, comprising SynXis Central Reservations (CR) and Channel Connect, as part of the cooperation to allow its new distribution strategy. The firm will use the sophisticated technology of the Sabre SynXis Platform to streamline its operations and expand its worldwide presence while also establishing an efficient, future-ready channel strategy that will help optimize income from direct and indirect channels.
TUI's hotel segment will investigate product innovation and distribution expansion prospects in conjunction with Sabre while charting a new route toward full digitization. TUI and Sabre will work together to create an innovative revenue-generating plan that will help drive travel recovery and anticipate future business demands, leveraging their combined expertise in the leisure market.
TUI's long-term aim of using new technologies to improve operations and the visitor experience gets supported by this partnership.
"We are excited to embark on this partnership with TUI's popular hotel brands and look forward to redefining the guest experience together," said Frank Trampert, SVP, and Global Managing Director Commercial, Sabre Hospitality Solutions. "Leisure has become one of the critical revenue streams for the travel industry and a key accelerator to recovery from the industry impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are proud to be at the heart of this and look forward to a long and successful partnership with TUI that powers a new generation of retailing, distribution, and fulfillment in hospitality."
