Red Sentry Introduces Automated, Continuous Cybersecurity Penetration Test

Organizations typically conduct a pentest only once a year, leaving them vulnerable to cyberattacks and ransomware for the remaining 364 days of the year. Red Sentry automatically detects security flaws and exploits before malicious actors can compromise a system.
FREMONT, CA: Red Sentry has unveiled its new pentesting platform that allows companies to automate their penetration tests and run them continuously. Organizations typically conduct a pentest only once a year, leaving them vulnerable to cyberattacks and ransomware for the remaining 364 days of the year. Red Sentry automatically detects security flaws and exploits before malicious actors can compromise a system.
While most businesses conduct pentests on external assets, Red Sentry can also conduct vulnerability scans and pentests on cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. As more businesses depend on the cloud to host their data, this is becoming increasingly important. Furthermore, Red Sentry's attack surface analysis platform automatically identifies and tracks all of an organization's online assets. Red Sentry provides continuous pentests on a subscription basis as Software as a Service (SaaS), as well as manual pentests.
Customers simply enter a domain, IP address, or CIDR range into Red Sentry's platform, and the technology immediately begins searching for assets. It then performs the reconnaissance, exploitation, fingerprinting, and reporting phases of a security assessment automatically.
"Traditional, annual penetration testing can take up to four weeks to complete and cost up to $20,000 or more," stated CEO Valentina Flores. "Red Sentry's approach provides the same high quality analysis and reporting that manual pentesting offers. However, our use of automation means that the turnaround time is minutes, not weeks. And the cost is a fraction of what businesses are used to paying."
