It is beyond doubt that 5G is here to stay. Moreover, 5G services are likely to place huge demands with respect to the transport network. The transport industry’s network requirements are becoming more intense with technological advancements. The requirements that are to be met with include high-speed interfaces, sync and timing, and end-to-end programmability, among many others. With the presence of 5G, it has become imperative for networks to remain highly flexible to offer wide-ranging 5G services. Different types of 5G Services include mMTC, uRRLC, and eMBB.
Further, when it comes to 5G networks, there is a need to go ahead with respect to the ability to enhance deterministically guaranteed services dynamically. "As carriers prepare for the step change that 5G demands, we understand that the transition to a fully compliant 5G transport network can be both complex and CapEx heavy. That is why our solutions easily traverse the divide between current and future. We want customers to know that ECI is here to help them adjust their infrastructure effortlessly and cost-effectively," Jimmy Mizrahi, EVP & Head, Global Portfolio, ECI.
1022 is designed to function as a cell site router and encompasses high capacity in a miniature form. As a result, 1022 becomes the most ideal choice when it comes to expanding capacities in the metro. 1022 has the elastic MPLS capability to ensure that consumers can support the ongoing and future legacy services in a single platform. All in all, what makes 1022 highly compatible for various types of 5G environment is its ability to support network slicing, open Yang/NetConf interfaces and Class C/D synch abilities.
"The 1022 marries form and function with its unique capabilities for easy migration, future-proof multiservice, and network slicing while ensuring carrier-grade redundancy and service assurance. Class C and D synch capabilities mean stringent timing control, and open interfaces ensure it can be deployed in any network, brownfield or green. This is the first of our 5G dedicated products and solutions to be launched. The rest will follow in the coming months,” concludes Jimmy.
