Project44 Introduces Supply Chain Crisis Tracker to Monitor Impact of Black Swan Events

Fremont, CA: The supply chain continues to evolve at a rapid pace, keeping up with the modern era's breakneck technological advancements. As the impact of the Freedom Convoy trucker protests on the global supply chain becomes clear, project44 has launched a new publicly available Supply Chain Crisis Tracker. Through regular updates on truck delivery performance, the tracker will monitor and share the impact of black swan events such as the Freedom Convoy and the Ukraine-Russia conflict on supply chains. As the world's leading real-time transportation visibility platform, project44 monitors multi-modal movements such as truck shipments across the US, Canada, and the globe.
"project44 is uniquely positioned to gauge the impact of events such as the recent truck protest blockades on supply chains and provide insight into how deliveries are impacted," stated Jett McCandless, project44 founder and CEO. "Every day our platform provides shippers, 3PLs, and their customers with information on the progress of their shipments in transit so they can be proactive in taking steps to deal with exceptions to scheduled deliveries. This becomes even more important in a crisis."
Companies that rely on cross-border deliveries, such as the auto industry, are already feeling the effects of trucker blockades at major cross-border points. The tracker has shown improving trucking conditions in Canada in the last 24 hours, as law enforcement re-opens travel routes. Project44's Supply Chain Crisis Tracker will provide an overview of the impact on truck transportation as the impact of the blockades ripples through the supply chain. The tracker will also give updates on other geopolitical events affecting trucking, such as the current situation in Ukraine.
The advanced visibility platform of project44 tracks over one billion shipments annually transported by more than 140,000 carriers across all modes in more than 170 countries. Over 1,000 customers rely on project44 to track shipment status in real time, receive predictive arrival times, and gain data insights into carrier and route performance.
