Nextcare Joins Flume Community Platform, Expanding In-Network Options For Texas Urgent Care Patients
Fremont, CA: Flume Health, a Health-Plan-as-a-Service platform that makes designing and managing healthcare plans simple, has added NextCare, one of the nation's largest privately owned urgent care and occupational medicine providers, to its Flume CommunityTM platform, beginning with all 40 NextCare clinics in Texas. Throughout 2022-23, the program will be expanded to NextCare sites in ten other states, including OK, MI, AZ, CO, KS, MO, NC, NM, VA, and WY.
As indicated by health plans contracting directly with doctors and health providers adopting new, alternative arrangements to ensure patients receive top treatment, the industry is beginning to embrace a new trend in healthcare. The partnership between Flume Health and NextCare allows middle-market enterprises in various sectors (that offer Flume-powered health plans) to provide their employees and families with convenient and cheap access to urgent medical care. In addition, flume offers solutions that help people where they are in their health journeys and uplevel the offerings their employers can deliver by adapting healthcare plans to the demands of various enterprises and workforces.
"Flume Health has always been in the business of making it easier for individuals to get better care at a lower cost. It's central to our goal, and it's what we've been doing since the beginning "Flume Health's CEO and founder, Cedric Kovacs-Johnson, stated.”
Employers can use Flume Health to create plans that waive deductibles and coinsurance for all Flume CommunityTM visits, allowing patients to pay the full amount due at the time of service, freeing providers from collections, and removing barriers for patients who might otherwise delay care due to financial constraints. As a member of the Flume Community, providers also enjoy a significantly shortened billing cycle – within 96 hours of a clean claim – and fair payment rates that are on average higher than the 50th percentile of fully insured payments based on local market rates.
"Flume services a wide range of self-funded enterprises in Texas, including a legal firm and a landscaping company. These companies want to provide better benefits to their employees in order to attract and retain talent, as well as because it's the right thing to do "NextCare's Vice President of Managed Care, Thom Palmer, stated.
