A new smartphone app is improving communications between parolees and law enforcement under community supervision.
FREMONT, CA: A Satellite Tracking of People company, Securus Monitoring Solutions has launched Enrollink. The new platform is a smartphone app, enabling enhanced communications enrollees under community supervision and their supervising agent. Enrollink is an innovative solution, working as a companion app to the existing Securus GPS (BLUtagTM) or RF (BLUbandTM) electric monitoring devices. This new smartphone app allows enrollees to interact with their program and supervising agent while under community supervision, offering an optional, seamless transition after an enrollee graduates to the phase of their program with lesser location restrictions.
Enrollink is transforming an enrollee's smartphone into a powerful tool, enhancing the user experience for both the enrollee and supervisory agent. By better facilitating conversation between both parties, the app is easing the burden for agencies and makes it more probable that enrollees find progress integrating into their communities after re-entry. While assigned to a Securus GPS or RF monitor, an enrollee can use the app to view their schedules, request schedule changes. Enrollees can send and receive secure messages with their supervising officer, which are then saved to the enrollee's record.
Enrollees will be able to reintegrate into society and remain active in their community with electronic monitoring. The Enrollink app will prove to be a useful tool for enrollees, even when they are no longer subject to GPS monitoring or RF home detention. This will be useful in situations when more advanced location monitoring is no longer needed or applicable. Enrollink utilizes a smartphone's geolocation data to record an enrollee's compliance with mandated schedules and appointments. Using random or scheduled checks, the app records and verifies the enrollee's photo along with the smartphone's location data.
