Organizations with the mobile-first approach can secure financial benefits way beyond increased sales. Studies show that mobile-focused organizations have witnessed an increase in business efficiency and a remarkable decrease in the costs of providing services to customers.

FREMONT, CA: Today’s shoppers are empowered more than ever before as they are equipped with a cache of information, such as product availability, product reviews, and price comparisons. With the help of such information, they are able to make the best purchase. Needless to say that smartphones are the key enabler of bringing all of such helpful information at consumers’ fingertips. While some retailers are still struggling to adjust with this dynamic, others are embracing the new sales narrative, and sales funnel stand to reap benefits.

Mobile Phones Lower Costs

Organizations with the mobile-first approach can secure financial benefits way beyond increased sales. Studies show that mobile-focused organizations have witnessed an increase in business efficiency and a remarkable decrease in the costs of providing services to customers. Besides, these organizations have agreed that this mobile-first approach has made them more accessible to customers as well as enabled them to provide higher customer satisfaction. Mobile devices that give sales associates with access to real-time, relevant data, such as inventory and expert knowledge to guide customers in-store, are also helping retailers realize both the efficiency and revenue potential of mobile.

Mobile-First Reaps Benefits

The retailers are earning more and more profits by making the mobile channel omnipresent in all their operations- from commerce to advertising to customer support. Despite all of it, very few retailers have achieved the mobile-first status. Many retailers admit that they are not completely prepared to meet consumer demands for mobile. And, some are taking baby steps towards making them mobile-focused retailers.

Industries are coming to realize the prowess of social media. Social media platforms have empowered them to show their consumers what they have to offer. The use of social media has increased as smartphones have become more affordable for customers. Retailers can utilize social media to converse with their customers and answer their questions directly.
