The partnership aligns the business models of both companies by offering flexible application management, increasing security by design at the software level, simplifying and streamlining development, and accelerating time-to-production in markets including energy, utilities, connected cars, medical, smart homes and buildings, asset tracking, and point-of-sale.

Billions of devices are connected through 2G/3G/4G/5G, and eventually 6G networks. So, Thales is collaborating with MicroEJ to introduce the MICROEJ VEE universal software container for Thales Cinterion IoT Modules such as PLS83-W or EXS82-W and Cinterion® IoT Plug and Play Devices such as EGX81 and its related software development tools and virtual modules.
MICROEJ VEE takes advantage of the intrinsic processing capabilities of Cinterion® IoT Modules and IoT Plug and Play Devices, thereby eliminating the need for an external processor and further reducing size, energy consumption, and electronic expenses, and data bandwidth utilization for software updates.
