Logpoint 7.1 bolsters the unified platform with upgrades and enhancements across SIEM, SOAR, and UEBA to boost the holistic cybersecurity approach.
FREMONT, CA: “The accelerated cloud adoption puts pressure on security teams to monitor security events on cloud platforms efficiently,” states Gitte Gade, Product Marketing Manager at Logpoint. Logpoint has released Logpoint 7.1, which includes enhancements to its SIEM, SOAR, and UEBA technologies to strengthen the Converged SIEM platform and cyber security. The new capabilities allow customers to simplify security operations with enhanced user interfaces, workflows, and automation options for faster threat detection and response.
“With Logpoint 7.1, we have removed the hassle of requesting separate plugins for different platforms with a universal fetcher that ensures simple configuration for cloud platforms. We essentially empower security teams to protect organizations that have had to jump head first into a digital transformation,” adds Gade.

The Covid-19 pandemic has expedited the digital transformation of enterprises. Many have made substantial investments in cloud services to address the urgent changes in employee and consumer requirements triggered by lockdowns and social distancing. For example, cloud use increased by 30 percent between 2018 and 2020. Consequently, SOC teams struggle to monitor security incidents across cloud platforms efficiently. Logpoint 7.1 provides a standard interface for retrieving data from multiple data sources.
SOAR has a new user interface (UI) in Logpoint 7.1 for editing and managing playbooks, actions, and triggers. It facilitates the modification of existing playbooks and the creation of new ones for all organizations. In addition, generic playbooks have been changed to accommodate several alternative tools for comparable tasks, allowing security analysts to choose a generic action independent of the tool they employ.
“SOAR is meant to make your security operations more productive, even with limited resources. However, getting started on automation and playbooks can be daunting,” says Gade. “With the upgrades in Logpoint 7.1, automating tasks and simple threat responses is more manageable. We enable security teams to reap the benefits of SOAR more efficiently, and as a result, security teams can spend time chasing more dire threats.”
In 2020, 68 percent of firms would confirm that insider attacks are increasing. Technology is required to assist security teams and threat hunters in detecting internal dangers. Logpoint 7.1 features a redesigned UEBA user interface that makes navigation easier and allows threat hunters to identify and probe insider threats quickly.
Logpoint 7.1's enhancements improve the holistic approach to cybersecurity, shorten the time required for security teams to detect, organize, and respond to cyber incidents, and mitigate the risk of debilitating assaults.
