Kaiser Permanente Joins Graphite Health to Accelerate Health Care's Digital Transformation

Graphite Health is a member-led organization dedicated to improving patient outcomes and lowering costs in digital health care. We are one of the most well-known healthcare providers and not-for-profit health plans in the United States.

Fremont, CA: Kaiser Permanente has joined Graphite Health as an organizing member. Graphite Health is a member-led organization focused on revolutionizing digital health care to improve patient outcomes and minimize costs. Kaiser Permanente joins SSM Health, Presbyterian Healthcare Services, and Intermountain Healthcare as the fourth organizing member of Graphite Health.

Graphite Health is a non-profit organization with a governance structure that focuses on purpose over profit. The board of Graphite Health, which is made up of executives from the organized health system's members, represents the members' mutual interests and offers oversight. Members of the health system have a say in the company's direction and receive technology solutions explicitly created for and by them and the resources needed to onboard and implement these new capabilities. PratVemana, Kaiser Permanente's senior vice president and chief digital officer, will join the board of Graphite Health as part of the organization's membership.

Graphite Health is building a standardized, interoperable data platform based on Civica Rx, a health utility company, to enable a secure and open marketplace to streamline the distribution of digital health solutions for both health systems and entrepreneurs. The Digital Hippocratic Oath, which acts as the ethical compass that guides all operations, including their approach to data sharing, integration, and technical procedures, is central to Graphite Health's vision.

In the following months, Graphite Health plans to add more healthcare systems and philanthropies to its coalition, partner with renowned technology developers, and expand its dynamic team.
