Japjit Tulsi has been appointed as Matterport's Chief Technology Officer to help set and realize the newer vision for the company.

Mr. Tulsi will assume daily leadership of Matterport's product and engineering teams. He will help set the technical vision for the company, along with co-founder and Chief Scientist, David Gausebeck. Tulsi joins Matterport at a time of hyper-growth that includes geographic expansion into Europe, Asia Pacific, accelerating into vertical markets. The company is going ahead of the residential real estate to include multifamily and commercial real estate; engineering, architecture, and construction; travel and hospitality; insurance and restoration; and facilities management.

Prior to joining Matterport, Mr. Tulsi was CTO at Carta leading technological innovations for private company investors, founders, and employees, managing their equity and ownership. He was also the Vice President of Engineering at eBay, leading engineering for latest product technology and development, including eBay's ShopBot, AI-powered shopping assistant, and groundbreaking cloud commerce initiatives. In his early career days, he led foundational development efforts for Google and helped build products like Google Analytics and YouTube's innovative content platform.
