Identiv Announces Amir Khoshniyati as Vice President of Business Development, Americas

Khoshniyati's appointment to this newly established position is part of the company's investment to double its RFID sales staff by the end of 2021.
Fremont, CA: Identiv, a global leader in digital identification and security, has declared the addition of Amir Khoshniyati as Vice President of Business Development, Americas for the company's radio frequency identification (RFID) technology solutions. Khoshniyati's appointment to this newly established position is part of the company's investment to double its RFID sales staff by the end of 2021.
Khoshniyati has extensive global expertise in all aspects of NFC, RFID, and the Internet of Things (IoT), most recently serving in senior-level business operations positions with top RFID manufacturers such as Avery Dennison and Smartrac Technology. His track record of exceeding results in the deployment of innovative technologies and facilitating rapid expansion positions him uniquely to expand Identiv's RFID reach.
Khoshniyati, a global leader in the evolution of NFC and RFID technologies, is an Executive Member of the NFC Forum Board, which establishes standards and processes and better coordinates technology adoption across multiple industries. He is also the Vice-Chair of the Healthcare Task Force of the NFC Forum Board.
The appointment of Khoshniyati comes as Identiv boosts its commitment to the RFID industry. The company recently joined DoseID to increase its focus on RFID applications in healthcare and to contribute to the creation of RFID industry standards. Furthermore, the company shipped more than 40 million RFID units in the first quarter of 2021, a 53 percent increase year over year, with RFID revenue increasing by 59 percent.
"Amir joins the Identiv team at a critical time in our company's growth trajectory. His insight and expertise as we increase our focus on RFID solutions will be invaluable," stated Steven Humphreys, Identiv CEO. "His experience and aptitude for new concepts, paired with his ability to address cross-functional challenges and execute complex projects seamlessly, is a significant asset to our business."
