Cameras are already used in many manufacturing facilities. The Internet of Things imaging software connects to existing cameras. It employs computer vision to detect safety risks and send real-time alerts when detected unsafe behavior.
Cameras equipped with artificial intelligence software can also improve compliance with safety protocols, such as wearing safety equipment such as vests, gloves, and glasses; adhering to forklift zones and speed limits; ensuring proper clean up to prevent slip and fall accidents, and improving ergonomics.
Imaging can also be used to detect incidents as they occur, such as slips and falls.
Smart Manufacturing and Wearables
People are increasingly turning to wearable technology, such as fitness trackers, to help them achieve their overall health and well-being goals. On the other hand, Wearable technology is increasingly being used by engineers in manufacturing to improve ergonomics, track employee location during a crisis, and detect falls.
