If 2020 has taught us that, it is the need to cultivate a transparent culture in which employee wellness support is available and promoted.
FREMONT, CA: Modern Health, a leading workplace mental health platform that supports more than 250 businesses around the world, is partnering with an increasing number of companies to not only offer better and more accessible mental health benefits internally and also to set the bar for creating a workplace culture and environment that normalizes mental health and encourages employee engagement and utilization of the support on offer.
In January 2021, HubSpot (NYSE: HUBS), an effective customer relationship management (CRM) platform that delivers software and assistance to help businesses grow, launched Modern Health to over 4,500 employees to better serve their workforce.

"Between adjusting to remote work, caregiving, and heartbreaking headlines around racial injustices, violence, and COVID-19 around the world, we wanted to support employees by offering a program that gave a variety of resources," said Elissa Barrett, VP of HR at HubSpot. "By rolling out Modern Health's platform, we were able to provide employees with accessible mental health support, regardless of location, and help us build a culture that normalizes and encourages mental health and well-being."

Employees can use Modern Health's digital platform to seek help ahead of time, no matter where they are on their mental health journey. Unlike other digital care choices, modern health recognizes that mental health exists on a continuum ranging from green to red and has adapted its platform to accommodate people wherever they sit on that spectrum. The color green represents a generally healthy state in which people are robust to live's ups and downs and strive to maintain their well-being. Individuals in the red state have clinical issues that significantly impact their capacity to operate in daily life.
To increase productivity, competitiveness, and thrive in this new normal, the working world has had to adjust to the disruptive effects of the worldwide pandemic during the last year and evolve behaviors. This 'new' manner of working has proven comfortable for some, and they have adapted to their new working environment. As COVID-19 vaccines become widely available, the business sector is beginning to consider the future and the possibility of returning to the office.
"We're seeing a huge volume of employers stepping up and providing better and more accessible mental health support for their workforces which is incredible. Employees need this support not only to help them potentially transition back into an office environment but to also allow them to prioritize their own wellness so they can be their best selves and can do their best work," comments founder and CEO of Modern Health Alyson Watson.
