How Chatbots are Revolutionizing Human Resource Process and Management
Human resource (HR) processes and routines are changing rapidly with the help of artificial intelligence-enabled HR chatbots which are quick and designed to do a tedious, mundane, and repetitive task. Traditional HR process and record maintenance system like ERP, HCM, and CRM were functional but not seamless and the HR persons also had to answer the same set of repeated questions, again and again, wasting their time and efforts. Employees, on the other hand, had to look out for HR persons for their each and every query and policy information as most of them are not aware of where to access the information. Chatbots have shown great potential in resolving such problems and also aid other departments like sales, marketing, and customer service.
HR chatbots capable of performing all HR process and routines with more accuracy and convenience and employees also find them useful. Chatbot interface is similar to other online messaging platforms which require no extra training for employees to use it and accesses employee data from the mainframe system and provides a personalized experience. Queries regarding leave policy, appraisals, rewards, holidays all are fed into it on the basis of which it caters the workers, giving more time to HR personnel to focus over other brainy tasks.
Chatbots not only cater to internal employees but also have found grounds in talent onboarding and management. It is helping applicants to apply for vacant positions, schedule interview, and engage with new joiners before the official joining. Employee engagement has also improved over the past as these chatbots are comfortable to manage multiple recruits at the same time and that too hassle-free. Processes such as form fillings, document authentication, and answering queries have become much easier and streamlined than before as a single platform is able to carry out all these tasks.
Performance evaluation and management are based on pre-defined parameters which can be induced in HR chatbots making them capable to monitor individual employee performance and integrating it with rewards and promotion system will automate the overall HR department. It is not necessary for organizations to completely change their workflow and tools, modern chatbots are being designed in such a way that they are compatible with traditional tools and can be easily integrated into the existing process.
