Four Technologies Accelerating the Growth of Construction Sector

Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems offer a way for all stakeholders in a project to have a close-up visual of the construction project workflow to simplify planning and project cooperation.
Fremont, CA: The recent years have introduced many digital-based technologies, turning construction into a nest of high, advanced technology. These technologies help operators to more accurately survey and plan the aspects of a construction project, conduct different construction tasks, and create and maintain an important database of construction fleet data.
Here are four technologies enhancing the construction sector:
Augmented Reality(AR)
Virtual technologies like augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality provide project stakeholders a clear visual to the project as it goes across all stages through a desktop or mobile devices. AR is created to merge the physical and digital worlds by overlaying digital information onto the user's real environment.
All the concerned parties in the construction process can picture what a project will look like through a 3D model using the AR tool on their devices, and people can ask and answer questions, raise concerns and solve issues on the spot.
Drones
Sending people to survey potential construction sites costs time and money. This is why construction operators are planning to aerially survey the area before sending people to take a detailed look. Also, drones can help track the progress of a construction project without physically sending people to a survey.
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems offer a way for all stakeholders in a project to have a close-up visual of the construction project workflow to simplify planning and project cooperation.
BIM utilizes tools like robotic total stations and 3D laser scanners to provide designers deeper insights into projects. These tools allow BIM models to be accessible in the field, thereby allowing quicker, more precise real-time cooperation on the job site without latency for update designs.
Grade Positioning
Grade positioning technology allows operators to interactively view what is happening on the site as the construction vehicle is moving, removing speculation and optimizing productivity. Technology advances are enhancing the crucial function of grade positioning.
