Fortinet Launches Assessment Program to Detect Critical Cyber Threats in Unprotected Security System

SUNNYVALE, CA: Fortinet has launched Cyber Threat Assessment Program (CTAP) to provide a detailed report on the possible cyber threats that can cause risk to the network of an organization. Fortinet collected data from 100’s of its users and then analyzed the collected data to get insight about the unknown security threats across organizations network. This analysis of the company’s data is accomplished through the help of CTAP. Report further indicated that each enterprise suffers from millions of attempted cyber attacks.
Fortinet started a free-of-charge program to implement CTAP into global organizations to provide them a detailed view on the firm’s current network security. The experts of Fortinet also scrutinized the user productivity, application usage and performance of the company. Users have to only install the company’s high-performance enterprise firewall called FortiGate on their network and after that, they can immediately monitor the risk factors on their network. A Risk Assessment Report is provided by FortiAnalyzer to recommend suitable actions to be taken to reduce security threats.
Initial CTAP report states how each organization are prone to network threats and breaches time to time. To address the issue, there was a need for a system that can provide an end-to-end security solution to diminish the chances of risk. It is a well-known fact that company of every size is under the threat of attackers trying to get access to the important information. It has now become a necessity for the companies to be aware of the possible loopholes in their network, with a fitting solution that can solve the problem. Fortinet developed CTAP to integrate security risks and provide necessary instruction to counter them.
"Businesses are constantly under cyber attack. With the attack surface dramatically increased and a mature attacker’s ecosystem, companies have to be ever more vigilant across all their IT assets. Fortinet's Cyber Threat Assessment Program has been designed to look deep into a company's network traffic and look for Indicators of Compromise. It provides customers a blueprint on how to reduce risk and at the same time make their network more efficient," John Maddison, Senior Vice President, Products and Solutions, Fortinet.
