Internet of things is more than internet-connected customer devices. IoT is the heart of the complete IT ecosystem. Most importantly, forward-thinking business organizations are focusing their IoT start-ups less on underlying sensors and developing bold approaches for leveraging Brownfield IoT infrastructure and are developing new business models. After several years, basic questions and trends raised at a minimum, apply to larger sections of the business sector. IoT experts from Santa Clara, California, have highlighted some crucial questions and shared ideas on how these questions could be answered.
It is a known fact that very often, the constructions result in double entities or features, like double switches, double fibers, and double everything. Deloitte building in Amsterdam is considered as the world’s smartest and most sustainable building by Erik Ubels, CTO of OVG real estate. The IoT vendors should work together with the contractors of the construction for using the same infrastructures as fiber cables and network switches for IoT deployment. Edge computing is not all necessary in smart constructions. The complete data from all the home appliances like coffee machines, doors, sensors, elevators, and power circulations are processed entirely with Microsoft Azure IoT solutions. Microsoft Azure helps in building, testing, deploying, and managing all the services through the global network of Microsoft-managed data centers.
Fluid computing provides end-to-end fabric used to deploy, manage, and monitor applications. Cloud, fog, and mist computing are the applications of fluid computing. Many computer capabilities are designed for smaller devices for IoT deployments. Edge router like Azure IoT edge software that runs on a Raspberry Pi3 analyzes video feeds from CCTV cameras and pushes intelligence down to the end devices or pushed to the edge. Kubernetes-enabled microservices run the IoT software across multiple types of computer infrastructure. Microservices makes the intelligent edge possible. Here, the backdrop is data management, a mechanism that decides what data is to be processed at the edge and what data to be sent to the cloud. At present, data management functioning is custom-built for every individual IoT project.

For embarking an ambitious IoT project, it is better to deal with multiple IoT vendors. IoT is an ecosystem where the work is done with various layers of the ecosystem which might be cloud providers, hardware distributors, system integrators, or software makers. Successful IoT project is achieved only with multiple IoT vendors.
