The new Edgemesh Server feature is the only solution that has been shown to assist companies in actively defending against click fraud, ad fraud, and bot networks using collective intelligence and real-time protection.
Fremont, CA: Edgemesh, the provider of the eCommerce acceleration platform that delivers the fastest online experiences, launched Ad Protect, a major feature upgrade to its Edgemesh Server product that identifies and protects brands against ad fraud and click fraud at the infrastructure level – dramatically reducing retailers' ad budget losses due to ad fraud.
According to Research, ad spending losses due to fraud would reach 68 billion dollars globally in 2022, up from 59 billion dollars in 2021. This year, the United States will account for 35 percent of ad fraud losses and is expected to total 23 billion dollars. Edgemesh combats ad fraud in a novel way by integrating real-time bot detection and IP reputation alongside machine learning to detect unauthorized clicks and then tag such visitors for real-time exclusion from ad campaigns.

Ad Protect detects bots and people who are constantly clicking on advertisements but not converting by evaluating the network utilized (VPN, datacenter, etc.) and the history of users' activities. It monitors the ad-click rate of each visitor and, if it exceeds a certain threshold, will immediately tag that person and IP address. Customers of Edgemesh Server then link this tag with their ad platform to automatically remove bad actors from future ad campaigns, enabling real-time adaptive campaign security across any platform that allows retargeting, including Google Adwords, Facebook, and Criteo, Bing, and TikTok.
