Couchbase Mobile 3 is now available enabling developers to create modern applications for mobile desktop and embedded IoT devices

Couchbase Mobile's new release improves cloud-to-edge capabilities, allowing developers to create always-on, always-fast embedded applications using their preferred platform, frameworks, and language
Fremont, CA: A database allows numerous users to update simultaneously, modify, maintain, and store data. It makes databases ideal for data storage from a network of IoT devices, developing a web application, monitoring corporate financial statements, and monitoring inventory systems. Modern databases come in various shapes and sizes, each with its own set of features.
Couchbase, a leading provider of modern databases for enterprise applications, has announced the release of Couchbase Mobile. This edge-ready data platform allows edge architects and mobile developers to build modern applications in the cloud and even on mobile and IoT devices utilizing their chosen language, structures, and framework.
Couchbase Mobile 3 delivers an industry-first embedded document database with built-in synchronization features for mobile, desktop, and bespoke embedded hardware. In addition, with Couchbase Mobile 3's enhanced edge capabilities, developer teams can concentrate on the core competency of their applications without having to worry about speed or connectivity difficulties.
Customers increasingly require mobile and edge capabilities to meet modern application demands and data must always be available so the app always performs at unmatched speed," said Wayne Carter, vice president of Engineering, Couchbase. "With Couchbase Mobile 3, we have simplified development and management of complex data synchronization tasks. Our first of its kind, modern embedded database allows customers to easily build dynamic applications from the cloud to the edge, while leveraging their existing skills and code
Couchbase Mobile 3's offline-first applications ensure data integrity by seamlessly syncing data across an organization's complete edge and mobile infrastructure, both with and without internet connectivity. It implies that businesses across sectors can rapidly and easily design and deploy applications that fulfill demanding governance and security standards while still providing end-users with a first-rate experience with always-on, always-fast services.
Another example of a modern application enabled by Couchbase is an airline that can digitize its pre-flight check procedure by putting Couchbase Mobile 3 onto tablets for inspections recording. Data is then synchronized in real-time to other crew tablets – even when devices are offline – boosting accuracy and safety while ensuring on-time departure.
