The broadening of the internet of things (IoT) exhibits no indication of slowing down, with the latest forecasts implying that more than 50 billion devices will be connected to the internet by 2020, communicating enormous amounts of data about consumer and business activity. As we know, connected devices are small computers, but these devices cannot offer security. Many manufacturers are working to tighten up security, and most have already started working on data security that will satisfy the new data protection law coming into play next year (the General Data Protection Regulation). It is to make sure that consumers’ data is protected and used as a way to enhance everyday household tasks.
Cloudflare, a U.S. Company, has launched the official mobile app 1.1.1.1 for its privacy on 11 Nov 2018 for Android and iOS users where it is user-friendly. The 1.1.1.1 service that started in April is a fundamental DNS server, which secures user privacy and enhances speed. Also, the bandwidth consumption is less. It protects websites and web applications. Cloudflare focuses on the incorporation of mobile privacy and the protection of connected devices.

DNS traffic reduces the efficiency of the IoT. The mobile app 1.1.1.1 uses an encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN) and directs the mobile traffic to the DNS servers. These DNS servers allow the users to independently browse the site without being exposed to the hacking attacks. The users browsing data history will be tracked for 24 hours to prevent the misusage and debugging issues. The browsing history will be deleted after the continuous tracking of data. Billions of people around the world utilize 1.1.1.1 service without any cost.
Cloudflare Orbit is a new approach to security that solves the problem of network security by creating a secure connection between an IoT device and its origin server. Virtual patches are used here to protect the data from all other devices on the network. This allows the devices to remain secure even before a malicious attack. Cloudflare has witnessed a massive growth in the past two years. It provides security to data passing through a network in milliseconds, which has been its major accomplishment.
