FREMONT, CA: The world's only vertically integrated RFID solution provider for retail, Checkpoint Systems, has launched the first inlays with the new Impinj M700 tag chip family. The company launched this new platform in collaboration with a leading provider and pioneer of RAIN RFID solutions, Impinj. The new chips – Impinj M750 and Impinj M730 have the highest receive sensitivity of any RAIN tag IC. These chips have more effective reply signaling and advanced AutoTune adaptive RF tuning for performance optimization across a range of materials and operating frequencies.
Checkpoint will release six inlays with the unique chips that will have a longer read distance and a bigger coverage area. One of the five inlays, Njord, will become the tiniest ARC certified inlay in categories F and I. Added tag, UNO, will integrate RF EAS and RAIN RFID technologies to support supply chain visibility and theft prevention. The new inlays by Checkpoint have enhanced sustainability characteristics. With 40 percent mitigation in the Impinj chip size, the reduction in material usage for Checkpoint inlays is 18 percent.
