In 2017, Roadrunner Transportation Systems was awarded the Global Automotive Leader award and LTL career of the year awards. The company recently announced the appointment of Michael Rapken as its chief information officer. He will be responsible for the ongoing improvement and the integration of systems involved in the IT. Before Rapken’s new position, he had served as the chief technology officer at Press Ganey.

The company has merged with Dawes Transport in order to form the Roadrunner Dawes Freight Systems, Inc. In addition, Roadrunner Freight has been listed as the top 100-truck company list by Inbound Logistics. The list is based on the fleet size, the number of drivers, service capabilities, and areas of expertise. At the 20th Annual World Excellence Awards, Ford honored Roadrunner with the elite award.
