Fremont, CA: Today's healthcare industry trends include new technologies and solutions that address the needs for treatment, clinical diagnosis, and disease management. E-consultations, real-time diagnosis, telemedicine, and access to digital therapeutics offered by immersion technology tools are examples of advancements in the healthcare industry.
Apricus Health, an innovative technology-enabled healthcare company, has extended to three new Texas cities—Houston, Austin, and Dallas/Fort Worth.
Apricus Health, a physician-led and founded organization, continues its expansion in Texas, broadening its services and value-based care model to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Texas senior population, including high demand for primary care. Apricus Health manages the care of over 40,000 people in Arizona, Texas, and Florida through its value-based model, empowering independent providers to provide quality care to people of all ages.
Apricus will expand its physical locations while also providing access to its telehealth platform 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This approach is part of Apricus Health's innovative "care your way" model, which provides high-quality, on-demand healthcare.
"Quality primary care is the first step to a long, healthy life," stated Dr. Kishlay Anand, President of Apricus Health. "Seniors in the Houston, Austin and Dallas/Fort Worth areas will feel an immediate difference in the way their health is handled as Apricus Health expands, providing one-on-one relationships with primary care providers and a robust 24/7 telehealth platform to remove barriers of care."
By 2030, 20 percent of the population in the United States will be 65 or older. Chronic healthcare issues affecting seniors, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, and osteoarthritis, will become a greater concern for patients and their families.
According to Texas Health Resources, there are 54 primary care doctors for every 100,000 people in Texas, compared to the national average of 76 primary care doctors for every 100,000 people.
Apricus Health's expanding network of over 1,500 physicians collaborates with senior-focused health plans to streamline the healthcare journey, including Medicare. Apricus Health is one of only 53 entities in the US chosen by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid to participate as a Direct Contracting Entity (DCE), allowing the company to provide Medicare fee-for-service benefit enhancements. Beneficiaries of the program retain Original Medicare protections as DCEs.
