"It was a no-brainer to promote Viviana to chief customer officer," says Shoemaker. "She has been a significant contributor to Language I/growth O's and fully understands the company's primary goal of connecting customers with the technology they require. Diego and Viviana will be tremendous assets to our team as we continue to build momentum "Shoemaker continued.
Diego Bartolome, CTO, has spent over 16 years working at the intersection of languages and technology to assist people and businesses in communicating in any language. Both at his start-up tauyou and TransPerfect, he has built cohesive teams to create, improve, and scale tech products with significant business impact. Before joining Language I/O, he worked at Microsoft on cognitive services (language, speech, vision, and decision). He has a doctorate in electrical engineering, a master's degree in electrical engineering, and a bachelor's degree in management and business administration.
"Language I/O is one of the most promising companies in the industry, and I'm thrilled to be joining Heather and the rest of the team as chief technology officer," Bartolome said. "Language I/O is a technology company that specialises in translation, not a traditional translation company. This makes it an ideal place for someone with a technical background and a passion for languages, such as myself."
Prior to joining Language I/O, Viviana Bertinetto, CCO, spent ten years in the industry managing projects and vendors for various language service providers. Bertinetto has collaborated closely with customers to automate processes and provide full support for their localization efforts. She is enthusiastic about working for a woman-owned business and values women's success in the technology industry.
