Amazon announced a new range of products and services that will support Key by Amazon. The new products will give the customer control over security, and everyone can experience being key-free. The new products and service range includes Schlage Encode Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt, which is the first Wi-Fi enabled smart lock for Key; Chamberlin group with Key for Garage; Ring app compatibility for access control; and Key for business, a smart frequency operated button for executives that deliver Amazon packages to residential and commercial buildings.
To meet the shortcomings of theft and missing deliveries the in-garage delivery initiative will help counter delivery obstacles. GM of Key Rohit Shrivastava stated that Key gives control to customers even if they are not physically present in essential places like home, which makes the user feel secure. The Schlage Encode Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt will be the first Wi-Fi authorized smart lock for Key; it is easy to use and gives the user experience of keyless living without having to install any extra hardware. Access list to your house can be controlled to prevent unnecessary trespassing of intruders. A user needs a Wi-Fi and the Key app to manage the access list. Key for Garage will now allow the user to monitor and control the garage door through the Key app. Amazon Prime members will be soon eligible to receive orders in their garage. Key for Garage was possible to implement by integrating CGI’s proprietary myQ-connected technology with Key.

Ring customers will now be able to control the Key compatible smart locks by looking at the live feed of camera through Ring app. The two-way talk on Ring devices can be used to ward off thieves and intruders. The Key app will reduce the burden of building staffs to control the door often. Through the Key app, building staff can now monitor and control doors in real time. Communities that order a huge amount of commodities from Amazon require the delivery agent to frequently access the door, and in such cases, Key for business can be employed to provide a more secure digital verification of a driver’s activities.
