FREMONT, CA: PowDiX 600, a benchtop Powder X-ray Diffraction Instrument powered by 1D MYTHEN2 R Detector is released recently by ADANI and DECTRIS.
A vast experience in developing the X-ray applications for the security and medical domain has assisted ADANI to develop the powder diffractometer. The PowDiX 600 is constructed in theta-theta reflection geometry, ranging between -12 and 155° in 2θ. A choice of various available X-ray sources and sample stages allow the instrument to be customized according to the needs of a specific application.
Using the MYTHEN2 R 1D, the attainment of data takes less than minutes to process. Data analysis is carried out by Rietveld and Pawley algorithms, two crystallographic databases, and computation models for calculating size and quantification of mixtures in the crystallite. The per-optimized data collection and data analysis can be depended on for accurate results by the non-experts and aspiring diffractionists. The experts have the possibility to define and customize the measurements and data processing strategies in the PowDiX 600.

PowDiX 600 is an easy-to-use, reliable, and quick analysis instrument, apt for applications in both industry and academia. The wide angular coverage and the architecture of the microstrip of the MYTHEN2 R 1D detector have enabled ADANI to implement the step and continuous scanning modes for the collection of data. The user can specify the number of strips necessary for the measurement, which enables the function of operating the detector in 0D OR 1D modes.
