Founder & CEO of 1901 Group, Sonu Singh, talked about the megatrends for enterprise transformation, applicable in the current scenario
FREMONT, CA: The Founder and CEO of 1901 Group, a leading provider of innovative IT services and solutions, spoke at the Baird 2020 Virtual Private Company Technology & Services Conference on July 28, on the theme “Powering through COVID-19”. Singh discussed the history of 1901 Group and why technology-enabled managed services combined with a unique workforce development model is aptly suited for the current times.
Participants heard the business stories of the company executives via formal presentation webcast. The event showcased industry-leading technology, technology-enabled, and business services companies that exist across various sectors who are also performing well in the face of COVID-19 and the unprecedented shutdown of global economies.
“The COVID–19 pandemic has dramatically changed everything and increased the velocity of the movement to the cloud. Organizations now need to move from an on-premise applications stack and on-site personnel model to a cloud-based infrastructure with off-site personnel. 1901 Group is uniquely positioned for this transformation. We’ve built substantial cloud migration, modernization, security, and operations capacity all in a managed services model — which delivers real value to our customers in terms of resilience and simplification of enterprise IT,” said Singh.
Singh holds responsibility for the holistic direction and the well-being of the overall 1901 Group team. In 2009, he founded 1901 Group. Before this, he also held positions with SRA International (now known as General Dynamics Information Technology), EY, Oracle, and was also President and Co-Founder at Spectrum Solutions Group before its acquisition by SRA International. Singh is one of the members of the Virginia Tech APEX Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Board.
1901 Group’s integrated managed services technology platform combined with a unique workforce development model is an outline for delivering enhanced performance and outcomes for large organizations. The firm, 1901 Group, partnered with The Virginia Ready Initiative, a newly established non-profit organization molded in response to the economic hardships created by COVID-19. VA Ready and its partners – 20 of the Commonwealth’s leading businesses – avail incentives for motivated, out-of-work Virginians to not only obtain excellent skills for good quality jobs but also to build a thriving career in high-growth sectors.
