Can you give us a detailed description of your Sargasso product?
Sargasso is a metadata model which is built in AWS to organize and manage digital assets providing secure storage, flexible access and version control of brands assets. This metadata can be seamlessly customized and configured. With our flexible access, clients can also effectively share their assets within the team or externally. Sargasso also has a central repository to manage a business’s marketing assets in over 50 countries.
Additionally, by providing real-time reports on the asset status, Sargasso enables greater transparency. It also offers real feature updates and can be integrated with Dropbox, Vimeo, and other web transfer tools which can be configured for single sign-on and is responsive to both mobile and tablet. Besides these benefits, it is easy to use, scalable, secured with ISO27001 and can be interconnected with other enterprise tools which promote streamlined operations increasing productivity. Best of all, our product is cost effective. To keep the storage costs under control, the solution can manage the lifecycle of assets in the various storage areas that AWS provides based on cost and availability.
Our product is built on our proprietary platform known as Stratum, which is a cloud-based, secure and scalable digital asset management platform.
Could you talk about the differentiating factor that highlights your company from the rest of your competitors?
Firstly Sargasso’s out of box configuration can be easily modified to suit a brand’s needs. Secondly, our robust security which enables clients to share their content with their potential buyers and partners, even before the content is released, ensures product and brand safety. This allows clients to have greater control of their content. Additionally, our web-based tool is simple to install, easy to use and comes with easy-to-follow online training. In spite of this, we support clients 24/7 through an in-house customer help desk.
Who are your typical clients? Please elaborate on a use case where you have helped a client
I’m proud to say that we have a diverse range of clients across the entertainment, media, franchise, financial and professional services and retail sectors. Our clients include Costa Coffee, NBCUniversal, Manchester United, Kraft Heinz and Marks & Spencer. A great example of how we add value is through the work we have done for a global client who sells electronic products. After onboarding our product, they saw the value in collecting data seamlessly, engaging better with their partners, and managing and reselling their products in both retail and direct to consumers more effectively. This resulted in scaling up the rate of sales and marketing cycle. Pleased by the results the client was delighted commenting that: “We are now able to engage with our talent better with productive data and which, in turn, has increased sales and marketing.”
Speed Queen is another client and we have helped them to launch and roll out their global brand using Sargasso. Speed Queen is an international franchise brand created by Alliance Laundry the largest manufacturer of laundry equipment in the world.
What’s next for Maglabs?
We are really looking forward to 2019 when we will celebrate our 10th anniversary. We’re delighted to be able to say we have clients who have been on the entire journey with us and some who have come on-board along the way. In the last 12 months, we have been working with a range of new sectors, continuously learning and developing our products and services to the next level. Our talented development team are also increasingly focused on building in any additional requirements these new sectors need. Forging ahead, Maglabs are looking at adding AI into our products and to having a flexible but clear road map of how to continuously improve our solutions.
