Logistix Solutions has been recognized by CIO Applications Magazine as the exclusive recipient of “Top 10 Supply Chain Management Solution Companies - 2021,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry, and is also named among “,” reflecting its broader leadership. This profile has been developed by the CIO Applications research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Robert Camozzo, Owner, President and CEO.
Robert Camozzo, Owner, President and CEOBut how did the situation turn into such a downward spiral?
Much of the congestion has started far from the docks. A study has reported that equipment shortages and logistical chokepoints across the global supply chain are the reasons behind the backlog of container ships at the two of the busiest ports in the U.S. Additionally, the out-of-capacity warehouses and the shortages of transportation resources, such as containers, rail cars, trucks, chassis and drivers, have further aggravated the situation’s severity.
The Long Beach port congestion is just one example. Supply chain issues have been predominant in other ports as well, such as Oakland, New York-New Jersey, the Northwest Seaport Alliance of Seattle and Tacoma, and the Georgia Port Authority in Savannah. In addition, overloaded warehouses and distribution centers are driving companies to invest in automation and robotics. Unfortunately, automated facilities take years to go online and don’t provide relevant insights into how they will work in the future. As a result, the situation clearly highlights the need for a partner like Logistix Solutions that allows companies to design resilient supply chain networks and predict future warehouse capacities, transportation requirements, and inventory levels that can save supply chain costs while improving supply chain agility.
Founded by a team of supply chain optimization and operations experts, Logistix Solutions provides not only consulting services but also offers robust software that logistics professionals can use without breaking a sweat. “Most solutions available in the market are either overly complex or come with enterprise-level cost. We’ve cut through all that and created solutions that are suitable for both logistics professionals and inexperienced users. The whole focus of our company is to provide powerful supply chain tools through on-demand subscription models that are easy to use,” says Robert Camozzo, Owner, President, and CEO, Logistix Solutions.
In an interaction with CIO Applications magazine, Bob Camozzo, along with Daniel Camozzo, Director of Business Development, Logistix Solutions, talks about how their company’s on-demand subscriptions to critical tools are helping industries save costs, optimize distribution networks, manage transportation, and model continuous improvements to their supply chains.
We license Logix to users on a subscription basis and don’t charge additional costs for the maintenance and updates. Our company releases these updates regularly, usually every few weeks and from six to twelve months for minor and major updates, respectively
Daniel: The solutions — Logix and ProLogix — bring different functionalities for different users, emphasizing distribution network design and transportation optimization while also managing product sourcing, manufacturing and inventories throughout the supply chain. Our clients range from SMBs to large enterprises in industries like food and beverage, 3PL, manufacturing, and some of the most prominent package shippers worldwide.

Logix and ProLogix network design have a few powerful and unique capabilities built in, one of which is Proximity Radar View, which enables users to locate the optimum areas to establish their distribution centers and generate high ROI and a robust, competitive distribution network. It also provides insights regarding the changing costs if users try to move their location in any direction.
Robert: We curate clients’ demand or financial data and the location of their customers, suppliers, and distribution centers to build a model that simulates their unique supply chain and all the cost involved. Logix is powered by AI/ML and mathematical algorithms that help determine how many distribution centers are needed, where they should be located, what capacity they should have, and what products they should stock. Integrated with predictive analytics, Logix highlights the centers that are low on capacity now or in the future, recommends ports of entry, and which suppliers contribute to a more resilient supply chain.

We also integrate transport optimization with Logix to provide a street-level view into supply chain operations and recommendations regarding operating fleets, vehicles sizes, optimum routes, carriers, and more. For example, one of our clients operating in Africa has an interesting way of leveraging the Transport Optimization tool. They had been using Logix to deliver seeds and fertilizers to Kenyan farmers. But during the pandemic, they quickly transitioned into using it to deliver sanitation products, helping the farmers to continue with their agribusiness safely and without missing a beat.
Daniel Camozzo, Director of Business DevelopmentDaniel: Many of our clients have attested that Logix is the easiest solution to set up and use. With the help of our training and consulting services, they learn to model their networks and create solutions within weeks.
Robert: Logix had started to get more complex a year ago, making it more challenging to use for the new users. This inspired us to develop ProLogix. It is more comprehensive and is an excellent tool for our experienced professionals. ProLogix can solve more complex and larger problems with multiple product lines or distribution from an inventory and optimum sourcing perspective.
The ability to deliver attainable and realistic benefits within weeks is something that makes us unique. Simultaneously, optimizing both inbound, and outbound supply chains, providing alternative next-best solutions and predicting future supply chain chokepoints provides users with benefits today of 10 to 30 percent and continuous improvements in the future. Our solution is impressively functional even with sparse data and can provide a directional approach to solutions quickly. For instance, one of our clients had reached out to us to optimize their supply chain, and we helped them save $2 million on the first day of our collaboration.
What do you think lies in the future for Logistix Solutions in the upcoming 12 to 18 months?
Daniel: The past couple of years have driven companies to build resilient supply chains with moving beyond spreadsheets to focus on modeling platforms that allow them to run what-if scenarios and model changes in their supply chains that are quick and easy to deploy. As a result, continuous modeling and predictive analytics are some of the features we’re focusing on. Logistix Solutions is also taking initiatives to address climate change and greenhouse gas emissions and their negative impact on our clients’ networks.
Another area we’ve been focusing on since last summer is the last-mile delivery problem. For example, a recent project based in New York City focused on routing walkers, bikers and e-vans to facilitate same-day deliveries, with necessary transit points like bridges across the city, and traffic congestion, making it difficult to deliver products using larger trucks. We now have users who are benefitting from the transit point capabilities we added to Logix during this project.
We have been in the market for years, and clients rely on us for quality service. That’s why our company is growing primarily through word-of-mouth, user referrals, followed by other marketing strategies. We also send out weekly news bulletins and whitepapers to our subscribers to keep them updated with the latest trends in the market.
