Internap’s CDN suite encapsulates various content optimization services like website acceleration, software delivery, and mobile delivery, assisting content providers to distribute dynamic web content to the end-users in a quick and secure manner. CDN’s web acceleration feature enables enterprises to reduce overall load on their web server, boosting efficiency and productivity of their servers. It also facilitates real-time and on-demand video and audio streaming functionally that dynamically adapts streams based on the capabilities and bandwidth of customers’ internet. In addition, Internap’s mobile delivery service empowers organizations to provide all the media content to the customers in their preferred mobile platforms including iOS, Flash, or Android.
Internap’s CDN solution is completely supported by its best-in-class Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO) technology. MIRO controller dynamically selects the most efficient network routes across multiple tier-1 backbones to edge servers and end users. Additionally, embedded TCP acceleration technology further optimizes dynamic content delivery across the Internap CDN.

Our CDN services speed the delivery of content and applications to distributed audiences, allowing for better customer engagement and a sturdier online presence
One of the leading research universities in the U.S., Georgia Tech was seeking for a seamless content distribution framework for timely and high quality content delivery. “Georgia Tech wanted to ensure that students around the world receive the same top-quality education as those on campus,” says Ruffolo. “Our CDN system analyzed multiple Points of Presences (POPs) across the globe and helped the client to deliver content in edge POPs that were located in closer proximity to the students,” explains Ruffolo. “The university was able to offer a premium and low-latency online experience for students regardless of their location.” The global reach of Internap’s CDN allowed students to participate in broadcasts via live streaming or download large files on demand. “Georgia Tech successfully reduced the cost of delivering content to students, decreased the administrative burden on internal processes, and removed the load and bandwidth concerns from its own architecture,” asserts Ruffolo.
Aiding to its CDN technology, Internap also provides user-friendly interface design, allowing clients to upload, manage, and deliver various media formats through a single and easy-to-navigate portal. In addition, the portal also offers robust analytics and sophisticated reporting dashboard, supporting organizations to analyze and improve their CDNs’ performance.
Furthermore, Internap aims to extend its cooperation with the most innovative companies that have relied on its CDN solution to make their applications faster and more scalable. “We are looking forward to further simplify and streamline the workflow process for content uploading, transcoding, management, and reporting,” concludes Ruffolo.
