While conversing with the editorial team at CIO Applications, Mr. Rajendran shares his insights on ComplianceQuest’s product offerings and solutions that give them the competitive edge in the industry.
How do you address the challenges faced by clients in the life science arena?
The life sciences industry today is plagued with five key challenges. They include growing complex supply chain, need for built-in quality, meeting the global regulatory changes, risk uncertainty and ever-soaring market and development costs.
We help clients overcome these hurdles and provide a single collaborative system that enables a company to connect the quality, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering teams and suppliers while reducing performance variability to cater to the growing complexities in the supply chain.
Secondly, we provide a single source of truth that eliminates scattered processes and data, optimizing a unified view of built-in quality and compliance.
Thirdly, to comply with regulatory changes, we provide a versatile system to address increasing and extensive regulatory requirements with low overhead or risks to the process.
Fourthly, our built-in risk assessment practices incorporate agility and flexibility so a company can recognize and respond to benefit-risk balance proactively. And finally, we provide access to our system from anywhere, at any time – enabling a client to focus on core competencies that provide a competitive advantage while using quality and compliance as a profit enabler.
Elaborate on the key solutions offered by ComplianceQuest
We provide a unified suite of applications on a single platform and have developed ten core solutions that are designed to define the next-generation EQMS platform.
Many companies have adopted the ComplianceQuest platform to accommodate their immediate needs and future growth. We also integrate our solution suite with Salesforce Sales and Services Clouds, Salesforce AppExchange applications and traditional enterprise solutions such as ERP, LIMS, asset management, purchasing, PLM, MES, and HR systems.
Our EQMS is a flexible cloud-based system built on Salesforce that is easy to use, implement, validate and be accessible on any device, anywhere, anytime
What sets your company apart from your competitors?
Our EQMS is a flexible cloud-based system built on Salesforce that is easy to use, implement, validate and is accessible on any device, anywhere, anytime—this is the creation that sets us apart. With this system, we can fast-track an organization’s efficiency, safety, and overall performance by combining enterprise quality and compliance with modern collaboration, communication, and social media across the product value chain. This system provides value, low overhead, know-how and comprehensive functionality. Furthermore, leveraging the Salesforce platform makes our solution secure, as it is compliant with FISMA SSAE 16, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS Level 1 certifications and other data security protection laws.
Where do you see the maximum customer traction?
Regulatory compliance is one of the critical drivers for the adoption of an EQMS solution. Understanding this, we focus on highly regulated markets that need to meet evolving regulations or need quality certification standards. The result is that 67 percent of our customers come from the life sciences market. Also, we’ve seen a significant increase in the SMBs in the adoption of electronic quality systems and modern Cloud. In many cases, life sciences companies have seen the benefits of moving quickly to a digital platform. Paper or manual processes have become an impediment to new product introduction and competitive advantage. Also, the role of IT has changed, and companies are having smaller groups of IT resources and IT budget to manage their application portfolio. Investing in a new solution requires more thought on how such an investment, such as in Salesforce, can help them expand their digital transformation in other areas of the company without continuing the saga of many disparate systems and data.
Tell us about a scenario where ComplianceQuest was instrumental in addressing a key challenge faced by a client.
Since our establishment, we have tripled in size with clients all over the world. One large global medical device company was growing rapidly and needed standard processes, systems and outputs to measure health of the organization and process improvements. They had no process to find, track or manage documents and employee training. We were able to leverage their existing platform, Salesforce, to provide a secure, scalable and flexible QMS platform and a single repository for all quality documents and data and an effective prioritization and cross-functional alignment for improvement initiatives.
Tell us about the plans for ComplianceQuest?
Our innovation starts with the needs of customers that we identify during each of our implementations. This provides the primary priority and input to our product roadmap planning. We also keep a pulse-point on the market, industry-specific requirements and regulations along with the Salesforce ecosystem.
We will continue our approach to developing solutions by incorporating best practices from various industries. The primary aim at ComplianceQuest is to enable visibility and offer flexible support amidst the changing business needs.
