Established in 2011, the company has a broad architecture that enables enterprises to connect the dots between cloud applications, web and email usage, and user authentication. Each and every aspect can be seen and controlled through a single dashboard providing a granular view of all applications, emails, logins, and web-based threats across every device. Ed Macnair, CEO of the firm says, “We are the only company to bring it all together under a single umbrella in this way, significantly raising visibility of the data flow across these channels while at the same time reducing management burden.”
A large number of CensorNet’s customers operate within highly regulated industries that need to be compliant. Recognizing this, the company provides solutions to help businesses meet the necessary measures for their industry.

USS is a multi-layered, multi-functional cloud security platform that offers integrated web security, email security, CASB and adaptive Multi- Factor Authentication
CensorNet’s success is highly credited to its USS offering. The integration of adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication with web and email security, and Cloud Application Control within USS puts CensorNet into a niche market position. The adaptive feature of USS allows organizations to control user access and activity across all applications depending on the time, place, and context of login, while allowing businesses to control shadow IT and efficiently implement Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiatives. CensorNet’s Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) further supplements security without compromising productivity as it uses contextual intelligence. It monitors factors such as session ID, network IP and geo-location, type of system being accessed, and time of login to crucially assess the threat level. Then it generates passcodes only once the identity has been confirmed. What’s more, CensorNet’s technology enables users to reset their own passwords, saving valuable IT service resources.
Over the last few years, CensorNet has made significant progress in the industry. At the onset of 2016, CensorNet acquired a Multi-Factor Authentication company known as SMS Passcode and within eight months integrated the company and its technology entirely into the CensorNet brand. The company even launched USS and released the CensorNet App to provide an additional method for authentication in CensorNet MFA. “We continue to go from strength to strength and are committed to offering ‘market-firsts’ and help organizations deal with threats as they emerge,” concludes Macnair.
