CAD SERVICE has been recognized by CIO Applications Magazine as the exclusive recipient of “Top 10 Infor Solution Companies - 2019,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry, and is also named among “,” reflecting its broader leadership. This profile has been developed by the CIO Applications research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Giuseppe Delmonte, Founder & CEO.
Giuseppe Delmonte, Founder & CEOWhile the idea of staying upbeat with new methodologies and client needs is a concept that many companies strive for, only a few actually achieve it. The reason? It’s a complicated journey for companies to not only figure the industry requirements but also implement them to serve their clients in a better way. “The rapidly developing everyday realities of the IT industry require effort and commitment to keep up, and we’re enthusiastic about challenging ourselves to do so,” states Giuseppe Delmonte, the founder, and CEO of CAD SERVICE. It is a similar passion that drove Delmonte toward computer science and architecture when he began his organizational journey three decades ago. At that point, the Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) technology was still in its infancy, and Delmonte realized that the professional services and consultancy around the technology had to be relevant to fulfill the demands from a broad range of clients, including designers, engineering firms, construction companies, and building owners. At its core, the idea of CAD SERVICE as a company was driven by the innovative notion of unifying CAD and EAM technology. Delmonte worked toward this idea, and in 2008 he reinvented his company, with the development of EAM OpenCAD—a new product intended to be used as an advanced module for Infor Enterprise Asset Management solution.
"The integration of our product and Infor EAM created high visibility for the clients and also helped Infor in boosting asset visibility in a CAD format"

With this new product, not only did CAD SERVICE usher in a new era, but it also helped Infor in assisting organizations to boost asset visibility in a CAD format, without the need to run two separate systems within Infor EAM. In 2013, Delmonte brought his company to be a part of Infor solution suite, providing OpenCAD to Infor through a global partnership agreement—becoming a global Infor solution partner in the process. “The integration of our product and Infor EAM on the cloud created high visibility for the clients and also helped Infor in boosting asset visibility,” states Delmonte.

Working together, we are able to use our combined strengths to create and deliver innovative solutions that Infor and its channel partners sell, service, and support
With a core focus on effectiveness, quality, innovation, and customer care, CAD SERVICE has been driving its growth and development plans by believing in the power of innovation. “We reach out to the existing customers, foresee their predicaments and participate in the partner ecosystem to establish a business network,” says Delmonte. “This helps our company to understand real-world requirements.” According to him, the clients need a solution that will help them integrate their space management capabilities with CAD and EAM technologies. There is also a requirement to improve the visual aspects of EAM so that the clients can gain more traction and appeal from the stream of new customers. Through the Infor EAM OpenCAD, clients can track everything they own, lease, and rent, with all information being represented in a tabular form, visible on their monitor. “We provide a visual approach that’s simple to use with an easy-to-adopt user interface which requires no distinct customizations, and can provide reliable and clear data on occupation and availability of spaces to accurately calculate costs,” says Delmonte.
The Infor EAM OpenCAD module integrates the tabular asset information incorporated in the Infor EAM software with CAD graphical representations of those assets to boost the client’s productivity and simplify their work life. In this way, the clients can obtain the information that they need in one place—without having to manage two systems. An integrated product, Infor EAM’s simplicity enables quick and efficient asset-related decisions. Being a CAD system, it supports both DWG and DGN drawing formats such that the clients can fetch and access graphics in a rapid way using the integrated software. Once incorporated into the system, modifications can be made to the graphics without needing AutoCAD or MicroStation. The capability that the system provides to integrate Infor EAM stream and OpenCAD menu options makes it unique in the space. Further, users can manage the assets in Infor EAM directly through their CAD interface. They can drill down to a specific asset to see its CAD graphics information and into its Infor EAM software tabular data at the same time.
Modernizing EAM operations
CAD SERVICE positions itself as a system integrator to provide solutions for companies that operate in real estate and related services. While the solution can be leveraged by universities, banks, and real estate companies, according to Delmonte, they are observing a sturdy traction in the public sector.
Further, through the implementation of the data migration service, CAD SERVICE helps clients use CAD drawings and documents from application tools. The service is rendered in partial or total outsourcing, according to the methods envisaged by the project specifications and respecting the time periods decided by the clients. “Extensive knowledge and deep understanding of the Infor EAM System, along with a multi-year experience with CAD and BIM technologies are what defines our competitive advantage.
Therefore, we’re able to offer products and services that make Infor EAM more visual and improve the efficiency of operations. Besides, these digital components help our users accelerate their business processes, which results in remarkable time efficiency,” says Delmonte.
Innovation holds the Key to the Future
To continue their journey toward success, CAD SERVICE has made considerable investments in innovation since its inception. According to Delmonte, this will make room for new developments and breakthroughs. Being an Infor partner for almost ten years now, the company aims to expand its product footprint beyond Infor EAM and also provide capabilities such that it can be used as an additional component for other Infor’s product such as Infor M3 and Infor LN.
CAD SERVICE is also moving to pursue Building Information Modelling (BIM), which is a new methodology for managing and navigating complex 3D models. The company is rolling out a new product that can integrate the BIM methodology in Infor by the end of 2019. “BIM is the future for us, something that I have always been optimistic about. Going ahead, I am willing to work closely with Infor team and devote my energy and time to my passion and work,” concludes Delmonte. “I would like to thank Infor for all the support and belief in me and the company; none of this would have been possible without that.”
