Thank you for Subscribing to CIO Applications Weekly Brief
In a recent interview with CIO Applications' editorial team, Helen Zhou, President and CEO of ANET Services, discusses at length about the prowess of the company and its technical exper-tise.
Could you give us a brief overview of your company?
We are mainly an IT services and consulting company, offering IT modernization, Agile delivery, and cloud migration services. We provide the consulting service based on customer needs, from business strategy to IT strategy, including IT support services, management consulting, pro-gram/project management, administrative support, and business consulting. We have technical expertise in agile delivery, software development, data analytics, cloud computing, system in-tegration, cybersecurity, DevSecOps Automation, as well as data processing and hosting. Be-sides, we also have the maturity to support staff argumentation.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we have expanded our businesses to support medical supplies, office supplies, IT equipment and repairs. Considering the unprecedented times creat-ed by the pandemic, more people are readily switching to the digital world. Against this back-drop, we are hoping to not only conduct business in physical locations, but also in a virtual envi-ronment, to create a worldwide business model through e-commerce.
We recently announced our IT modernization plan in 2020 to support the government, com-mercial, and education fields on several social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. We will be reselling all products and services of Synnex Corporation, a leading IT design-to-distribution business process services company, to achieve our goal of accelerating everyone's transition to a digital world. We will use Amazon as an online eCommerce platform and leveraging Microsoft Azure cloud and Microsoft Dynamics CRM to support government customers. Moreover, we integrate Google suite to support schools and universities and also partner with various hardware companies, such as Cisco, HP, 3M, Linksys and Leveno to help our customers modernize their network and related hardware.
What are the challenges faced by your clients in terms of Agile delivery, and how does your company effectively address these issues?
Most often than not, clients have challenges realizing the real pain point and the root cause of the problem.
We are customer-centric company. We help our customer to success and our aim has always been to make sure that their needs are addressed
Firstly, we listen to our client's business needs, strategic goals, and existing challenges. I have been in the HR field for over ten years now, and we utilize a grand mechanism methodology. Normally, we use that for IT software development, that's the typical usage of agile delivery, but that method can be expanded to other types of business too. The whole idea is to support the entire business transformation or change and also be able to meet the customer needs in a short time.
Kindly share a case study where your company has helped its clients overcome their business challenges and attain desired outcomes?
One of our clients was struggling to migrate their system from the data center to the cloud. They approached us, and we identified all the related technologies from the cloud to the actual software alongside analyzing the client’s actual challenges and business needs. We evaluated all the related information through our analysis work, which gave us a better understanding of the customer's needs. As a result, we successfully helped the customer migrate their system to the cloud.
What are the differentiating factors that give your company a competitive edge?
Everyone can use the Agile delivery method, but how they use it and what they focus on, varies from company to company. Being a small company, we don't have a legacy process or complex rules internally, like other big companies. This helps us become flexible, so as to adjust and adapt to changes quickly. We have always been focused on our customers' goals, and our aim has always been to make sure that their needs are addressed. Without even our customer's demand, we ourselves take the initiative and go ahead of time to analyze their potential needs. This creates a unique value proposition as we aren't just completing a task but instead working with our customers to help them analyze their requirements in advance and help them address it through the right strategy. By doing so, we assist them in making a more informed and data-driven decision.
We have attended the COVID-19 Medical Supplies and PPE virtual global trade show in June and July hosted by Sacramento MBDA Export Center. They have screened the domestic and foreign suppliers and their products such as gloves, 3-Ply, N95, and KN95 masks, hand sanitizer, and more in order to connect U.S. businesses to the much-needed supplies. Also, we are the bronze sponsor of the National Small Business Federal Contracting Virtual Summit jointly hosted by the American Small Business Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce.
What does the future look like for the company?
Our main focus area are IT services, management consulting, and various supplies. As govern-ment agencies are our primary IT customers, we aim to continue supporting more such agen-cies. From an expansion perspective, we plan to expand our business further domestically and globally. On the commercial side, we are utilizing e-commerce and strong sales team to expand our sales. Although this entire sales market is new to us as we have been more involved with the government work, we are grateful to everyone who has helped and provided support to us. I personally, have been talking to different people and taking various training or consultation sessions and webinars. We are glad that a lot of people are nice and willing to offer help, as well as share their success stories and experiences with a small business like us. I have special thanks to Peking University and George Mason University to offer various support as we start, grow and expand our businesses domestically and globally.
